Tatum's game has been compared to Carmelo Anthony and Parker on Hardwood Houdini.

But they believe his defense will be better than either of those guys.

My favorite player in the whole draft.  I love fultz but Tatum is gonna prove people wrong and show he should have been first

believe he was just starting to come into his own , mature at end of season.  His scoring is beatiful to watch .  maybe we have our Klay Thompson in the works.

Hey I'm drinking the kool aid now too, might as well make the best of it.  ;)

Seriously tho, I had convinced myself a couple of days ago that it was Tatum, then went off on an Isaac misdirection, then Jackson misdirection. Glad things came back Full circle. This kid is going to contribute right away on both ends of the court. He is a complete player. He and Jaylen are a new breed of more athletic Celtics. I'm satisfied.

Tatum is going to score a lot of points.  I like the pick a lot.  I like him at PF and the thought of a George or Hayward playing out there is a lot of shooting with size.  Then Smart becomes more effective as well.  You can have some very interesting lineups.

I think his defense, athleticism, and body reminds me of Otto Porter Jr., which is a compliment.  Past that I think he has a much better feel for offense.  He's 19 and is very polished already.  He thinks offensively in an advanced, scorers way I think.

He seems seems more like a SF at the NBA level.

So does anyone believe that Tatum could take a similar career arc to employee #8?

If you think about it Antoine had a really fast rise to his career and was a very good player for us for years until he got content and stopped growing his game.

Walker career stats:

I'd be very pleased if Tatum's rookie season he put up 15+ ppg and then in his second season put up 20+ ppg.

he is definitely a hybrid...like a Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris is a nice talent but he is missing something ,,,

hopefully Tatum has the "extra"

I think guys like him play PF a lot more now.  They have already talked about it to Tatum.  Stevens told him before the draft they saw him guarding 1-4 and he has been saying, and Stevens, they think of him as more positionless.

This is how Pierce was just playing late in his career, how Jabari plays, how Carmello has been playing, how Otto Porter Jr has been playing for Washington.  It's not a knock on a player or anything it's just how the game is going.  I think he will play SF too and in the old NBA he is a pure SF.

He will need to get stronger but that's part of the appeal with him.  He was doing it in college already.

Just walked through the door after an extremely long day and happy to see that the good guys won :)  Nice to see that Tatum ended up being the pick.  I like the kid.  Surprised by the Butler trade, too.
