What are your thoughts on him?

I'm very happy with the pick, like Jaylen CBS will force him to earn his spot making him play defence.

Should at the very least develop into a mid range scorer that takes advantage of mismatches with his fancy dribble moves high release and length.

The ESPN guys are comparing him to Danny Granger.

I'm quite happy with him. He's been one of my main targets even before the lottery balls dropped. The guy has looked like the second coming of Paul Pierce to me for a while.

I think he'll be a great fit with Brown. Brown's slashing game should compliment well with Tatum's refined offensive posting game and both can hit from outside. That's a 1-2 punch that can play at the 2/3 or 3/4 depending on the matchups meaning the Cs will be a nightmare to defend.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Welcome Jayson!!!

Honestly I am pretty thrilled with the pick.  I basically had Fultz and Tatum as my 1A and 1B, so I was going to be super happy with either off them.

My preference did lean slightly towards Fultz, but given the choice of Tatum plus the 2018 Lakers pick, or Fultz straight up, I'd probably take the same path Danny took.

While many people will disagree, I feel Tatum is exactly what this team needed.  Tatum by nature s a professional scorer who can create his own offense and can score from anywhere - inside or out, with the ball or off the ball.  He's going to be a special player, and he's one of the youngest players in the draft (third youngest among the top 15 projected picks).

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'm not happy with him. I'm really worried about his defensive footwork and also I don't think he has special offensive talent. Our best hope to me is that he'll be able to play PF.

What does that even mean?

That means he's worse than Jabari Parker.

What do you want me to explain next? The thing with the flowers and the bees?

I'm here all night.

Hey, this sucks.

I just wrote a whole post, clicked on post, got "connection problems", and lost the post.

I've had that problem before the last few days, and lost posts because of it. I'm sure others have, too.

Other sites close to non members during busy periods. That might help.

I'm very happy with Tatum! I hope we keep him. He's a very talented scorer and a legit front court player. Two things we needed badly. He has a ton of potential, not many players have that polished an offensive game with such great footwork at his age.

I have been saying all along that Tatum is the best player in the draft,  I am ecstatic with the pick.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby
