I think everybody in Boston, coach, management, fans, everybody in Boston loves Jaylen and his work ethic.
I mean I guess the ones who like him the least are the players as Jaylen is smarter and working harder than everybody else ;)

This guy gonna be awesome.

I would be deeply saddened if we trade Brown, even for AD I would be sad, maybe for 2 days oke fair enough.

Everybody minus one ...

Only if he is part of a big trade.   He will not be used to just get another lotto pick.

No way is he part of a package that would include the # 3 and next years Nets.

I agree.

I would not, however, stop the pursuit of the Unicorn over a rookie with an up and down first season. Brown has a LONG way to go to have that kind of value.

Its hilarious to listen to everybody loving Jaylen Brown

but not understanding that If Hayward and Butler were to happen that both Brown and the Celtics would not need or want eachother respectively lol
What's hilarious is everyone thinking that the Celtics are ok with paying the $50 million luxury tax that will result from the rosters some of you are putting together.

I'd agree with you.

But then we'd both be wrong.

I would tend to agree.  With BKN '18 being a close second.

It's possible Danny has decided to win now. They are close. That means anything can happen with the draft picks and young players like Brown.

This is how I feel. The very best general managers realize they can never rule out anything. If a deal comes along that improves our present and future, then Ainge has to make it no matter who is involved. I'd love to keep Brown, and I assume Ainge would as well, but he'd move him if the price is right.

Can we substitute Bradley with Jaylen in most trade situations?

I wouldn't be tge least bit surprised.

People here (unsurprising) overstate Brown's value just as much as they overstate Smart's value.

Jaylen Brown is a fairly raw young rookie who throughout the year showed flashes that can be a nice player in this league.

People talk about him like he's a Porzingis / Karl Anthony Town / Anthony Davis calibre prospect and he's not even remotely close to being in the neighbourhood of that.   He's not somebody you throw away for nothing because he does have upside,  but if you have a shot at getting a Porzingis calibre prospect or a young established All Star you do NOT let a guy like Jaylen Brown stop you from doing that.

He's not untouchable.

I just meant 'player'. I also think Rozier is not going anywhere.

I think Thomas and Horford are essentially untouchable for Danny.

After that I think Bradley is next on the list.  He's the longest tenured Celtic, everbody in the Celtics organisation seems to love him to death,  and he was consistently our third best (and most important)  player after IT4 and Horford in the playoffs.  Even despite his contract situation,  I think Danny would do all he can to avoid trading him if he coukd.

As far as locker room / chemistry effect goes,  I feel trading Bradley would be the equivalent of when Ainge traded Perkins. Perk's impact on the game wasn't that his,  but he was part of the Celtics family,  and when he got traded to could see that for a moment the entire locker room fell to pieces.

After these three I think pretty much anybody and everybody on that roster is available for the right piece.

Yeah, I agree. He has possibilities, but he still was unable to get off the bench for portions of the playoffs. You move him for a top-caliber prospect.
