Ainge is going to get somebody that is going to be that guy for Jaylen's would be position.

Jaylen is going to take a little time to get better.

Ainge picked up Jaylen to some people thinking it wasn't a great pick. Although it seems like it was the right pick as he is a wing and can be a valued potential player for another team.

This will basically be make or break for Jaylen. If he stays he will be part of this lineup and a big part right away and more as we go. If not, hes going to be gone and somebody really good will come in.

Question is, lets ASSUME we're guaranteed to get Hayward..
Do we even need Jaylen?

Naw. I don't think anyone gets traded and Boston makes the pick at three or trades down for more future picks

Hayward and Jaylen are two entirely different players.

It's possible Danny has decided to win now. They are close. That means anything can happen with the draft picks and young players like Brown.

Hayward and Jaylen are two entirely different players.

Two entirely different players that play the same position. Jaylen isn't going to stay with Boston if he was coming off the bench for the first 4 years of his career.

OK , but what would be the point of Jaylen?

If you think he is a great player, then If the Celtics get Hayward/butler or Porzinging, what would be the point of Jaylen?  to develop him for the future? I mean I don't think he will stay if this happens

so he might just well be part of what core Ainge really wants.

  • Anything is possible!
I think everybody in Boston, coach, management, fans, everybody in Boston loves Jaylen and his work ethic.
I mean I guess the ones who like him the least are the players as Jaylen is smarter and working harder than everybody else ;)

This guy gonna be awesome.

I would be deeply saddened if we trade Brown, even for AD I would be sad, maybe for 2 days oke fair enough.

Its hilarious to listen to everybody loving Jaylen Brown

but not understanding that If Hayward and Butler were to happen that both Brown and the Celtics would not need or want eachother respectively lol

And I hope that Ainge ain't that stupid to give Brown in trade for Butler (example), Brown have amazing potential, he seems to me like Kawhi Leonard type of player, and with CBS he will only improve and improve alot with his work etic. If C's sign Hayward he can play at 3 while Brown at 2, I really like this kid, my favorite player right now in NBA, really can't wait to see him become a star in this league and in Celtics uniform. For Brown best thing in the world would be if Ainge trade Crawder and Bradley for KP (with picks) so he can play even bigger role next year.
