All around the NBA, it looks like either posturing or GMs are resigned NOT to make a mistake. It seems be oddly very quiet on Draft Day.

Could it be most GMs are waiting for July 1st for Free Agency?

At this point, there's no reason to do anything until the picks start getting called tonight. Nothing major, anyway. It was on the afternoon of the draft last year that BKN traded what's-his-name for the pick that became Caris LeVert.

Just wait until like 3PM.

I expect things to start blowing up then.

If we're going to deal #3, it likely won't happen until we're on the clock, at the earliest. Anyone who wants Jackson can't be 100% sure he's there until LAL picks.

but at least you'd start to hear rumors about the proposed deal within 12 hours of the draft.

It's the calm before the storm.

It's the deep breath before the plunge.

Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Hopefully this means that the teams are actually working the phones with each other vs. the media.

I doubt it. GMs are close to the vest today up to and AFTER the 1st pick.

#1 Philly - Fultz
#2 LAL - Ball
then, BOOM.  Adam Silver steps up to the podium, "We have a trade..."

I hope it won't stay that way. Really like to have a more entertaining night than last year, although a couple of surprising selections at the end of the lottery was interesting. I want to be justified in staying up that late  ;D, while I have to wake up early next morning.
