I have interest in Aldridge but not for the #3. No way.
The idea of Aldridge next to Horford is attractive to me but I don't know how much I want to give up for a player who's about to turn 32 years old and isn't really a game changer.
Alridge and Horford get smoked by Cleveland, and not to mention Golden State. Why do you think the Spurs are trying to get rid of him? Probably because they have to remodel their team to get past the Warriors and he is the biggest problem.
Oh, yeah. If the question is "Does this get the C's a championship against the Warriors?" the answer is obviously no. But if we're looking for short term improvements, Aldridge would make the team better and not hamstring the team's flexibility for the future.
But only if the C's aren't giving up much and none of the bigger deals (Hayward, Griffin, et al) pan out.
