Royce White.

Nik Stauskas.

Arnett Moultrie.

Dante Exum.

I'm restricting the conversation to guys I thought the Cs could have gotten or should have taken.

Oh....and the coup de grace....ROBERT SWIFT. I thought he was the next Bill Walton.
Oooooo, good one on swift. I had forgotten my love for him. Add him to my hall of shame.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

JuJuan Johnson.  I'd been advocating for him for at least a month before the draft, and I felt quite smug when Ainge picked him.

Man were we both wrong.  To this day I'm still surprised at how terrible of a pick he wound up being.  It seems he just didn't like basketball enough to be a pro.

he has been playing two years in my hometown and he's an amazing player here in Italy; this year he averaged 19+ 7 while shooting 42% from deep which is awesome given he's been forcing a lot of shots and being guarded as 1st option. his defense is still pretty bad and that's probably why he could not play in NBA, along with the need to play center in order to be effective.

going back to topic, I thought Bargnani could be really a monster in NBA, a 2.0 Dirk with even more versatility...easily a 25+ ppg scorer...such a pity his career overseas ended that bad

I wanted Robert Tractor Taylor to fall to the Celtics and was kind of disappointed we got Pierce instead.

I thought John Jenkins and Jeff Taylor were going to be at worst exceptional role players.

I was p---ed the Lakers got D'Angelo Russell because I thought he was a superstar in the making.

MKG was going to be a star in my eyes.

Trey Burke. I thought he would become an all-star, turned out to be not much more than a jag.

Tyrus Thomas.

Thought he'd be an all star. Loved his game in college.

Exum  too, although jury still out due to injury.

Robert Upshaw is probably the one that stands out who I wanted most and busted hardest. I also crushed hardcore on Justise Winslow, but that's yet to see if he's a bust (although I thought he'd be better sooner).
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Already mentioned but I was super excited when we drafted Ron Mercer.  But it didn't take long for to figure out he was not that good.

I wanted Sullinger and Perry Jones in that draft.  As much as Jones sucked, he actually worked out better than Fab Melo (r.i.p.).  Sullinger showed promise but pretty quickly fell off a cliff.

I wasn't a fan of Bradley or Rondo, but I can't recall who I actually thought Boston should draft.  Those two actually worked out well for Boston.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I remember watching Marcus Banks in the summer league. He was like Kyrie Irving in the summer league. That summer league was the peak of his career. So ya I thought it was a good pick.
