care to provide a scientific explanation for this choice?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I thought you would never ask.

Earlier, someone else mentioned Ainge pays close attention to High School performance. He tends to draft players that were good High School players. I think that is an accurate analysis.

I think we would all agree Giles would have been picked #1 overall if he wasn't injured or if he came out right after High School.

Now we have to decide if we are dealing with an Joel Embiid or a Greg Oden situation. I think we are dealing with an Embid situation (micro-fracture surgery is usually career ending while players come back from acl injuries). Giles should be fine as long as his cartilage is good.

The biggest thing is the injury risk but all of the Celtics other options are risky too and lack Giles upside.

Tatum is the lowest risk but he may not have the speed and athleticism to play the three then you are left with an undersized below the rim 4. In my opinion Jackson lacks ideal length for the 3 let alone the 4. The best position for him based on his size may be the 2 (like a Steve Smith). Isaac has asthma and seems to have a role player mentality. I think these guys are likely to be good NBA players despite the risks but I wouldn't pass on Fultz for any of them (except maybe Tatum if I am sure he is a 3 and Jackson if I think he will will be a 2 with a good jump shot).

Also, Giles makes more sense if the Cs want to sign Gordon Hayward instead of Blake Griffin.

Man all these rumors and draft talk have exhausted me this week.

Got home, took a 2 hour (unexpected) nap.

Then when I woke up had a mini panic attack wondering if some trade went down.

Kyler was tweeting that LA not sold on Ball yet, seriously debating Fox at number 2, or at least a trade-down I would assume.

Not real sure how that would help them being leaked, so it'd be interesting if true. It'd be really interesting to see what Danny would do if they picked Fox and Ball was available. I imagine even more trade offers would come flying in.

PLEASE.

I just want to see them pick someone else and then zoom in on LaVar.

That would make my night

(Along with a Porzingis trade as Phil lowers his price... Hopefully).

I predict that this will be the craziest draft night ever obviously.  As to what Danny will do I have absolutely no idea!!!

Maybe they are hoping it will get the Kings to trade #5 and #10 for #2.  That could then use the #10 to get George.  If they do keep the pick, they should take Fox but there almost certain to take Ball.

Bold prediction for the C's: We draft Fox. No rhyme or reason. Just popped into my head.

As I close the poll (no complaining about the pick if you didn't vote :) ) I'm hearing some new rumors that don't involve the #3 pick. As always, sources are never revealed.

Danny appears to be trying to package Crowder or Bradley + the 2nd rounders to move back up into the lottery with the intention of selecting another player. This is NOT part of a trade deal to get KP or anyone else but that Ainge has his sights set on two players in this draft and wants to free up more playing time for Brown.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Jayson Tatum is a healthy version of Jabari Parker. I look forward to having his offense in Boston.
