At this point, when you consider the # of reports about how bad teams want Jackson, we have to take him, or else trade the pick.
The same logic was used last year regarding Dunn. It didn't work then either.
That's a different context, though. Dunn was a guard, which we had plenty of. He also was much older than the others.
Jackson and Tatum are very similar prospects in a lot of ways regarding their ceilings, fit, etc.
I also agree with this logic that if Danny rates these two prospects similarly, which is true by most accounts so far, we should take Jackson and see what happens. GMs get desperate to make a move when it comes down to the 11th hour, so if we get him, I'm betting a pretty robust market arises where we can extract value from him. Hell, if nothing else just use him to trade down to Phoenix or Sacramento, both of who want him badly for themselves or a trade, which would probably nab you an asset along with Tatum.
