Factor in potential Porzingis trades: Knicks think KP would have been 1st overall in draft this year & next & want picks reflecting that.

Can always change, but hearing that for now the asking price for Porzingis remains massive & a deal would be v unlikely with these requests

Apparently Knicks may be asking for #3, 2018 Brooklyn Pick, Crowder, and then some filler.
:o (Even A. Sherrod Blakely believes that's the "starting point price" - although as we all know he isn't really the most reliable guy out there..)

Love Porzingis, but I'll PASS. Not worth 2 Brooklyn Picks IMO, plus Crowder.

Disagree.

1- it's not two Bkl picks.  Remember we parlayed this years single pick into two?  That means you do this deal and still keep a future first.

2-  that's a totally fair offer for KP and I hope the legal team is jumping all over themselves preparing the paperwork.

The Green Unicorn?!?

Easily this is the best trade opportunity we've had since landing KG & why you pass on Jimmy Butler straight up, not to draft some kid out of Duke.

i dont blame phil for asking for the moon. that is just being a good GM.

but let's see whether he blinks later today when no one coughs up a treasure chest of picks.

i suspect that phil may never had wanted to trade porzingas really. he may have wanted to send a "zen message" to porzingas about skipping exit interviews. and at the same time, maybe some fool bites on the silly asking price.

so, we will wait and see.

Really? Sending a message? Because I bet Porzingis is reading the trade rumors like:

DA should turn that down, although sadly, he'd still get blasted on CB for doing so. I'd give more consideration for trading the LAL/SAC pic. LAL/SAC + #3 = #1 pick this year.

Jackson has lost some leverage here. I don't see any way for him to repair the relationship with Porzingis. He really has to move on now.

As for Phoenix, Chris looks like he might be a nice player some day, and maybe Bender will be too, but Jackson can't take that many steps backwards and expect to be around when things work out. Crowder can play like a man on day one.

He also can't count on Ainge to not flip the pick to someone, so #4 probably makes him nervous. I've seen multiple reports about how everyone wants a shot at Josh Jackson.

Yep, Woj is reporting that lots of teams are very interested and "thirsty" for Jackson, using a Top-4 pick which they hope to acquire via trade.

Sources: Several teams engaging with NY on Kristaps Porzingis - including Boston - are unwilling to meet Knicks demands for deal. So far.

Boston and NYK are talking, but looks like the Knicks price really is way too high...  :(

It's not "official", but there's a rumor going around that the C's are trying to get #7 pick so that they can also flip that in the Porzingis deal.

Something like #3, #7, maybe 2018 LAL Pick + Crowder.

Question is, how much will it take to get that #7 pick? Probably a lot too.

Good. Stay at three and pick Jackson or Tatum

The Celtics have backed off in regards to trade talk with the Knicks about Porzingis.

Per @WojVerticalNBA

Adam Kaufman and others are saying the same.

Apparently the Knicks asking price is similar to that of Anthony Davis. LOL PASS.

trade bradley and clippers 2018 pick to the wolves for #7. Offer the Knicks #3, #7, the lakers pick next year, crowder and rozier for porzingis.

So its basically rozier, crowder, bradley #3, clippers pick, lal 18 pick for porzingis. Its a lot but youd keep brown and the nets pick, and erase salary to get hayward this offseason

Wolves are trying to get Butler, gotta think #7 is in play there. Don't see them playing ball.
