It's on!

Phil Jackson has CONFIRMED that the Knicks are shopping Porzingis (and Melo.. but who cares about him).

The Zinger would slot in so well to Brad's system.

Absolutely. And we have the #3 pick as a starting point (they WANT a Top-4 pick for Jackson).

Guess it could be between us, Suns, and Lakers (don't see Philly in on it, understandably).

I think this could happen as soon as Ball is picked at #2.  If the Lakers want Jackson, they need to see that he's on the board.

Yeah, I said something similar in another thread.

That impromptu interview seemed to be Jackson preparing the fanbase for it to happen. And waiting until draft night actually makes a ton of sense if the rumors are true about them wanting Jackson.

Ainge reportedly liked Porzingis in the James Young draft until he withdrew, so you know Ainge is at least interested. Now it will come down to the asking price.

My worry is that what if Lakers select Jackson at #2...  :o

Could they land Porzingis then...  >:(

Or it could cost us a chance at Porzingis...

If you're the Lakers you've gotta give up #2 for KP, right?

Well, of course, except I have no faith in Magic Johnson doing that.

Yeah, but what else can they offer really. It would essentially gut their team.

ALSO, they kind of need a guard because they traded Russell away. A bit risky.

Yeah, I think they'll take Ball and be happy with him. That also gives them two more years of a cheap player and control, which might be needed for them if they're trying to woo several max fee agents.

That's true. They traded Russell with the thought of drafting Ball. Also, most of their starters would not be starters on most other teams. The could move Randle and Clarkson along with #2 I guess, but we can easily beat that offer.

They still have Clarkson. Offer Randle + #2.

They then have their Big 3 in place next season: KP, Lebron, George. Point guard wouldn't matter.

Vomit.

They'd probably be scared of being empty at their guards, with Clarkson being the only decent one at the moment.

Probably shouldn't have moved D'Angelo for little.
