Crowder has three years left on his deal, making less than multiple guys picked tomorrow will make during that time. So the question is, in how many years do you think the #10 pick will be at least as good as Crowder is now, or rather than Crowder will be during the same season? The Celtics look to have at least 3 draft picks over the next few drafts that should be at least as good as the #10 pick, so getting young talent doesn't fill any kind of gaping hole in the team's future.

If you told me for sure that #10 would be as good as Crowder two seasons from now, I'd say sure, sign me up.  But I frankly don't think that's likely with anyone picked at #10, and I don't really care if he's better than Crowder four years from now.

In a heartbeat.

Yes, he's got a great value deal. But he's become vastly overrated around here.

Yes definitely. Jaylen is already here. Odds on another SF in the draft. Possibly Hayward. That is 2-3 SFs on the roster. Little need for Crowder here.

The #10 pick gives Boston a chance at adding a quality young player for down the road.

I agree 100% especially if we are going after Hayward with the only caveat the player Ainge wants is available at 10.  I think a trade like this would have to happen after the 9th pick.

However I'm not sure why the Kings would do this since they are rebuilding.

Crowder, Rozier, and the Clippers pick for #9, and O'Quinn would be better.

He's probably appropriately rated.  Pretty much everyone agrees he's the Celtics' 3rd-4th best player on any given night.  He's reliable, but not overwhelming.

That being said I'd trade him for the 10th pick in this draft in a heartbeat for three reasons.  Reason 1: This is is a deep draft with at least 10 legit NBA starters.  Reason 2: Jaylen Brown should be able to handle minutes in the 20's next year and Reason 3: Our main free agent target is Gordon Hayward.

In today's NBA my standard 10 man rotation would contain 4 big wings like Brown, Jackson, Crowder and Hayward along with 3 guards and 3 bigs.  The bigger, longer, faster and more skilled they are the better.  I would much rather have another big wing on the floor than an undersized SG like Bradley who cannot switch up at all.

No. Crowder with a pick for an established young veteran or keep Crowder.

No reason for the Kings to make that trade.

No reason for you to make this comment L
