Maybe most interesting is Frank Ntilkina with the best chance of being an All star 13.9%. Iaasac is rated #2 overall.

I recall Jaylen Brown rating pretty badly last year on this, so I doubt that Ainge gives it much weight.

Pretty sure Marcus was off the charts whatever that's worth.

The same model had Kris Dunn and Jakob Poeltl in their top three last year. Jaylen was 11th. Malcolm Brogdon wasn't in their top-40.

Too hard to use analytics due to college competition being so inconsistent.

Exactly. As Roy points out, these analytics projections don't really indicate anything of note.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

being a zona grad i'm biased toward the pac 12,  but ball was the best player i saw last year.  dude could take over games with his passing.  im surprised the celtics never gave him consideration.

Good information guys. A little strange they have the French freak as the most likely by far to be an All-Star.

To be fair on the 2016 results, they are trying to predict years 2-5 in the league which we have not yet seen.  Curious if they did this in years 2011-2015.

I don't really have a strong opinion on the analytics on these picks, but wanted to reply to your post. I mentioned in another thread that I wouldn't be shocked or upset if Ainge takes Lonzo Ball if he's available at 3. By all accounts, Ainge loved Jason Kidd, and Ball appears to have that sort of upside. Ball's dad is obnoxious, to be sure, but I think it's feasible to nip that in the bud right after you draft Lonzo. And Lonzo and Lavar don't appear to be similar whatsoever in terms of their personality.

I never take into consideration a college player's stats when judging talent. There is so much that affects a player's college stats like pace, system, strength of competition, roster makeup, etc.

What you have to do is look at the skills of the player such as defensive intensity, handle, shot form, box out form, passing skill, court vision, finishing skill, BBIQ, etc. Then you have to look at the physical measurables like height, length, speed, vertical lift, side to side speed, first step explosion, etc.

That's the way I evaluate talent, not by stats.

Strangely, I just happen to agree with that analytic system and think Ball might be the best player in this draft. Been saying this for a while.
