Transcendent!

The guy isn't "transcendent" on a Bird / Duncan / Lebron level, but how many of those players are in the NBA?

Transcendent, I don't know. But if he comes here, Utah will view him as "transient" !!!

He is a big upgrade over our present SF.
This is true. But once the C's have signed Hayward and they have him, Crowder, Brown, and Tatum/Jackson (not to mention Bradley and Smart) what's the plan from there? Bringing in Hayward will necessitate a follow up move unless the C's plan is to totally abandon the idea of playing big men.
Trade Crowder to the highest bidder? He made himself expendable this season.

I'd trade Bradley first.  You can't count on him to be healthy.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Celtics wouldn't be asking him to be transcendent.

Hayward's not transcendent, but I think he's better than Jimmy Butler.

LeBron is the only current player who is transcendent and he's not going to last forever.

Yes, but you can count on him to play SG. Also, he's a one-year rental that will fetch less value. And frankly, he's also a better stop-gap solution until Brown is ready to start at SG.

TIL Gordon Hayward isn't as good as Davis, Lebron or Durant. Wow! That's crazy!

If the Warriors didn't break onto the scene we might be talking about the Jazz in the finals with Hayward and Gobert.

Ok, so who is?

KD, Lebron, Kawhi, Harden, Westbrook(?), Towns, Davis.

Who else really though? Wall? Irving? Legit stars but NOT transcendental players LOL.

FIFY  ;)

But I think those are the guys, although Harden is questionable too.

I really think that Hayward will be an MVP candidate if he comes here (not saying he will win, but he will be in the conversation like Harden and Kawhai were this year).  That is partly because of an optimistic take on Stevens' impact and a cynical take that white guys get a little boost in the voting.  But he was just 2nd team NBA, his numbers will go up and the team will be better.

He would most likely improve, but definitely not on the level of Kawhi. Guy is the second best player in the league IMO.

However I can easily see him upping his scoring, and averaging 26/6/6 sort of numbers. Prime Pierce like, stat wise.
