This just indicates they aren't serious about moving him.

Bradley ($8.8M) + Crowder ($6.8M) + #3 pick ($5.6M) + Smart ($4.5M)
=
$25.7

for

Anthony ($26.2M), Porzingis ($4.5M)
=
$30.7M

That's the only way I can see it happening, because that trade is valid under the cap *after* you sign Hayward. #3 has to be in there, or your talking about adding 2 more players, one of which would be Jaylen Brown. We could add future pick(s), but that assumes you put some value on Anthony that I do not...

IT/ Hayward/ Anthony/ Porzingis/ Horford
(Rozier/ Brown/ Yabusele/ Theiss/ Zizic)

That team looks good on paper.  Slow, But good.

Cheers, I'll do some digging.

If that's true that's a pretty steep asking price.

Not interested in either one of them.

How could you not be interested in Zinger?!

He's 7'3" and averages 7.3 rebounds per game for his career to date.  That's pathetic, imo, lol ;D.

What are rebounds?  I doubt we care about that, and his size + age leaves him so much upside.  Good fit for the modern NBA and our team in particular.  Contract speaks for itself.  And ultimately, beggars can't be choosers, right?  A team of IT-AB-Hayward-Zinger-Horford (with a solid bench) could probably make it out of the East if CLE doesn't make any major upgrades. That's a high level of talent, finally with some size.

True, these guy prefer playstation and xbox, etc, to board games ;).

All jokes aside, I just don't like power forwards who shoot threes as opposed to posting up.  If you can make that shot, fine, but you should primarily play through the post if you're that big, imo.  Plus, he's always looked slow to me, especially when attempting to guard on the perimeter, and don't guys of his size tend to get hurt more often?  Plus, among the proposed starting 5, Bradley might be the best rebounder of the bunch, lol ;D. Ugh.

It also looks interesting to go "small":
IT/ Brown/ Hayward/ Melo/ Zinger

Not really keen on Melo, but I could probably talk myself into this deal, especially if Porzingis has room for growth in a better system. The only real downside is lack of cap room next summer, assuming Melo opts in. Bradley & Crowder are expendable with Hayward and Brown taking over, and #3 + Smart is a very fair cost for one of the better young big men in the league. Hmmm.

Half-full thinking, Melo as a 3rd option on offense (if he'd accept it) could be lethal. He has his flaws, but there still aren't too many less-than defenders who can handle him.

His rebounding numbers would improve a lot if Porzingis was played closer to the basket. Too much time defending the perimeter. Tough for a 7-3 guy to cover that extra ground to get those rebounds from a starting position out near the 3 point line.

He should be at center. Much better defender, rebounder and offensive player at that position.

Unbelievable that NYK are still forcing him at PF. Gonna hurt his career.

Trade value wise = I think Porzingis is worth two top 5 picks. Melo is more about absorbing that big contract. A minor asset like a late first round pick and cap flexibility should be enough to net him. So two top five picks and a late first for the pair of them.

Porzingis is an interesting idea because of his salary. If you traded picks and Crowder you would actually create more cap space...
This. Phil is shopping Porzingis (but for the life of me I don't know why).  #3 + Crowder for Zinger would be fine.

Melo is only in the conversation because Phil would love to unload him.  Just like Mosgov, you have to make it worthwhile to take on that fat contract.  Phil's got nothing to offer, other than Porzingis.

Top offer for Porzingis:

1 out of Jaylen, #3, LAL/SAC pick

1 out of Bradley, Crowder, Smart

1 lesser 1st Rd pick.

Anything more walk away.
