I find it rather interesting that he's said he doesn't want to go to a Cleveland and neglected to mention Boston.

Also of note, Wade informed the Bulls earlier in the day that he'd be returning to the Bulls this year (GET THAT MONEY, DWADE!) and picking up his option. That might have something to do with it.

But I think having both Jae and Brown on the team would make him willing to come here, since he's tight with both of them.

This is also a bit refreshing to me after this whole George/LA debacle. Butler doesn't seem the type to jump ship to Cleveland to play WITH Lebron rather than BEAT him.

Still not sure that he's the direction I want to go in, but I do have doubts that Jackson or Tatum will ever be 1st Team All-NBA like Butler, too.

Makes me think he really is considering staying with Chicago.

Wade is staying too.

Per source, Jimmy Butler has informed Cavs that he wants to stay in Chicago rather than be traded to Cleveland.

I wouldn't want to get stuck living in Cleveland either.

I'm moving to Cleveland this weekend :(

1. Boston sends #3, Avery Bradley, Terry Rozier, James Young  Dimetrius Jackson to Chicago for Jimmy Butler

2. Boston sends Jaylen Brown, 2018 Celtics 1St, 2018 Lakers 1St (via Philly) to New York for Kristaps Porzingis

3. Boston signs Gordon Hayward

4. Boston signs Gerald Green and Jared Sullinger to vet min / exception deals

Roster:
Isaiah Thomas
Jimmy Butler
Gordon Hayward
Kristaps Porzingis
Al Horford
Marcus Smart
Gerald Green
Jae Crowder
Jared Sullinger
Ante Zizic

And we keep 2018 Brooklyn pick.

Make it happen Danny!!!

My stance on these second-tier stars remains the same. If you can get them for pennies on the dollar, then it's totally worth it. If Danny actually turned down #3, then we're getting close to enough of a discount for me. If Butler costs us Crowder, Bradley, and lesser firsts (MEM, LAC), then I'm all for it.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Honestly though, I think Cleveland is a great city. Just stay away from the obnoxious Cavs fans. When talking football though, be nice to them and have pity and mercy...  ;)

But as a Red Sox fan, I'll say this. Give the Indians fans hell!

Boston needs to draft Tatum and move on. I am done with the Bulls and Butler.

I'd offer Brown, AB and Rozier. No picks. Clears up 2 spots on the wing, and significant salary, for Butler + Hayward. Trade #3 for Porzi.

IT/Smart
Butler/
Hayward/Crowder
Horford/
Porzingis/Zizic

This looks to me like an 8-man rotation that can beat the cavs. Every starter will be an all-star candidate, and then we have two guys off the bench who'd start for most teams in the league.

Bulls would enter a rebuild. They would want picks. Whatever the package would be for Butler, I doubt it includes #3, therefore it would probably go down after the draft, after free agency begins.

Sign the max FA, then make the big trade.

Unless we pick for the Bulls and trade them the player we pick later this summer, we can't trade #3 and still sign a max free agent. If a trade happens with the celtics for Butler, I expect it to be after we sign Hayward or Griffin.

NOT trading Jaylen....send them Crowder or Smart instead.

I think even Butler realizes Lebron isn't staying past next season.

So why go to Cleveland and then get stuck with them while LBJ leaves??

CBS is reporting the Celtics turned down a Butler trade that was straight up for the #3 pick.

That is crazy. I would think that is as cheap as you can get a player of that magnitude. I am not even a big Jimmy Butler fan but you have to take that offer.

The Jimmy Butler to Cavs deal is unlikely at this point, I'm told.

Stance that Butler still wants to play for Bulls and remains committed to organization also has been made clear to Bulls.

That said, Bulls remain active in talks on Butler. Parameters haven't changed: Need players and certainty on high picks to commit to rebuild

So, looks like we're the main trade target at this point. Perhaps Minnesota could be a target, too, or maybe even Phoenix, though that's unlikely.
