I wonder if the Cavs would offer Love, Thompson, and Felder for Porzingis, Anthony, and Noah.

Serious question: You usually seem more interested in proposing trades for other teams and not the Celtics. Why is that?
I've made Porzingis trade proposals involving Boston today.   When there are 50 threads on the same topic those sometimes get lost in the shuffle.  I make a lot of trade proposals some involving Boston, some not.  A lot of them depend on actual rumors out there.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

If the price is too high as reported, forget it

Given what they asked Phoenix for KP (#4 and Booker), it's got to be #3 and Brown or go home.

I would love to trade the 3 for Porzingas.   The kid can play right out of the gate.  I bet we are offering Crowder and 3 + future first for Zinger and 8.

Quote
KO scores less than KP and has a lower %
KO can't rebound anywhere near as well as KP
KO doesn't get as many minutes as KP which is just unfair
KO didn't attempt as many threes as KP which is cuz he's screwed out of minutes
KO attacks and successfully injures more NBA starters than KP
KO has a hair bun vs KP's Slavic crewcut which is way to 50's
KO's arms are shorter which means they don't flop around as much as KP's
KO commits fewer fouls than that bully KP

KO can't hold his jockstrap.

Could we be someone second favorite team?

Any one know of a website where you can pre-order a Porzingis Celtics jersey?
The Tarstradamus Group, LLC

Huh? Why would the Knicks also trade us the 8th pick in the draft WITH Porzingis? C'mon, homer.

Apparently the Knicks wanted Devin Booker and the 4th pick for Porzingis and were turned down.

Based on that asking price I wonder what the Knicks were asking for from Boston.

Bradley
#3
Boston 2018 or/and LAC pick
I would do this even if we offered Jae along with one of the above picks and AB. I would offer our own 2018 but maybe not the LAC pick. If Phoenix turned them down (#3 & Booker) then I think this package beats theirs easily.

If the Knicks really asked that....what a dumb thing to ask.
Just let the Knicks rot if they want a package of that level..

"Porzingis skipped exit meetings with Jackson and general manager Steve Mills in April because of frustration over the dysfunction and drama surrounding the team. Neither the organization's front office nor coach Jeff Hornacek has been in touch with Porzingis since he missed the exit meeting, per sources."

FWIW, plugged-in source says to "disregard" buzz about Knicks trading Porzingis. They aren't shopping him, though they have taken calls.

I would guess it's #3 and Bradley.

Now Porzingis is a move I can get behind.

He's not a 1 year rental like George.

He's still young at 22 but has produced strong numbers at the NBA level.

He can block shots, he can rebound, he's 7'3, he can stretch the floor.

Where do I sign up?

If I'm DA, I would be willing to offer the #3, the Lakers 18, the 19 Memphis pick and matching salary and maybe 1 of AB, Crowder, or Smart in the package.

This would actually get me a lot more hyped than drafting Jackson or Tatum.

And reportedly J Jackson has been a total jerk, blowing off workout requests from the C's.  The only way I draft him is if it is the prelude to a mega-trade for Porzingis.

Crazy idea time.  This may be overpay but tell me if I'm going overboard.

WHAT IF - as a condition of the Porzingis trade, the Celtics agree to take on Melo's contract?

Of course we probably seek them to retain some percentage of the salary but... in essence we take his cap burden away from the Knicks.

Would adding Porzingis plus Melo be worth it?

It would be an instant contender in the East.  Even Melo on his last legs can score.

Lineup:
IT AB Melo Porzingis Horford.

How do you beat that lineup??

No offense, but that has been like stated like 20,000 times in this thread.

But yes, I can get behind a starting five like that.

Horford/AB would obviously take a hit in terms of scoring, but it would allow them to operate at what they do best.

Running the offense, back door cuts, screening, etc.

Curry, Klay, KD, Green, and a warm body, for one.
