The same things that scared the Celtisc away from Fultz - Lack of toughness, falling asleep defensively, overall lack of defensive awareness- will keep them from drafting Tatum. It's clear Danny Ainge wants guys who have a certain edge about them, that I don't see Tatum having.

Time to face the truth - Celtics are taking Jackson or trading it for Butler

As someone who prefers Tatum over anyone else in that range - I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

Why would you want players that lack toughness and fall asleep on defense...?

Yeah lets go get Jackson. 50% free throw, flawed jumpshot. But hey at least he can defend

Tony Allen had a more well rounded game and he was still just a bench player

And his defense is going to struggle for 2-3 years because he's too lanky.

Most SF's (let alone PF's) will be able to post him up easily. LBJ, KD, Kawhi, PG13, Melo, Giannis and the likes will just have their way down low with him.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Jackson is rail thin. Cannot shoot and has a checkered off the court rep. He sounds like a real winner

Whose scouting report is that ? One could argue that Tatum outplayed every single player last year mocked 1-5. Tatum has it all and proved it with his play last year.

not accurate, as has been pointed out many times here. his shooting was better than tatum for FT and 3 pointers.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Tatum shot 85 percent from the line. Jackson shot 57 percent

BTW Pierce at Kansas had numbers a lot like Tatum...

Jackson had the worst free throw percent out of all lottery picks

He had a worse percent than shaqs worst season I believe. Also he only attempted 90 3's
