This draft times are almost as bad as ellection times. So much trading, lying and media pumping. I bet Danny has a contingecy downtrading to 30th pick while getting 22 1st rounders and PG in the proccess.

Lakers 2018 is not going to happen. They will finish better than 2-5. It will be the Kings 2019 pick

I'm not sure about that. Who are they really better than?

Brooklyn, Sacramento and maybe Phoenix. I can't think of any others.

Makes sense.  Danny loves doing deals with old friends like Ryan McDonough.

so you are saying there is still room to add more picks!

Just to let people know, that pick is top 7 protected in 2018 and unprotected in 2019

They have another unprotected pick in 2021 from the Heat, though, which would obviously be preferable. It won't come without some protections, but I'd be aiming for that one rather than yet another 2018 pick, which would make four potential picks for us.

Why is the Heat pick considered so valuable? They ended this season well and I expect them to be better than a lottery team next year.

you have to see what happens, but they should be better than those teams.  If the Knicks dump Anthony, they will likely be pretty bad.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if the Lakers just miss the playoffs and then get the 2nd pick in the lottery.  That would be downright hilarious and awesome.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Imagine the tension in the city of Boston if it's down to Brooklyn and the Lakers in the draft lottery. Doubt my heart can take that stress.

in either case we'd get the #2 pick.  only question would be if we get #1 with it.  that would be sweet indeed.
