I've heard this on several shows, including this:

If this is the goal then Danny is doing the right thing!

If it is and we end up with Anthony freakin' Davis I will never say a bad word about Danny Ainge again.

Davis is an absolute game changer ala KG. Ainge would go down as a legend for getting both.

New Orleans could fleece us for AD and I'd be ok with it.

Starting 5 of:

IT
Jaylen Brown
Hayward
Anthony Davis
Horford

This is a championship line up even against GSW!

Anthony Davis is worth two BKN picks. And any two or three of Bradley/Crowder/Smart/Green/Olynyk etc. Just don't take IT4 and Horford and we good.

#JTJB (Just Trade Jaylen Brown)
#JFJM (Just Fire Joe Mazzulla)

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
No. They just traded for Cousins. They aren't giving up on that twin tower duo until they've tried it for at least a few seasons.

Why would NO give up Davis?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

WE

ARE

NOT

GETTING

ANTHONY DAVIS.

There's absolutely nothing we can offer that will entice New Orleans to even accept discussion. Danny's end game is probably to collect assets for a great player. Sure. But unless AD gets disgruntled in NO and specifically chose Boston as his destination (IDK why he would do that), there's absolutely no reason for them to move him, to anyone.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Probably dealing with some of the not so gracious Celts fans.

Some of those comments are pretty foolish, especially the ones acting as if the Celtics aren't an iconic franchise. We sure as hell are.

We got Ray Allen AND Kevin Garnett for less than the assets we have now. Obviously it takes two to tango, but nothing we can offer even gets discussed?

How about #3, BKN18, LAL18/SAC19, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder?

That's 4x top-5 talents plus a new starting PG and a veteran on a great contract. They'd answer.

Smart/ Brown/ Crowder/ Tatum/ Cousins + 2 top picks next year

or, Cousins + Davis + not a single starter level player (Solomon Hill and Omer Asik???), and then Cousins leaves next summer.

You will get the most you can get for AD right now. The closer he gets to the end of his contract and the less you'll get. You don't want a Paul George situation...
