It seems the majority of you think that the 3rd pick is getting traded?

Ideas..

The obvious ones being Bradley/Zeller/3rd for Butler or George

3rd pick for 5th pick & 10th pick?

3rd pick for 6th pick and Aaron Gordon?

3rd pick for D'Angelo Russell & Larry Nance?

Not supporting or not supporting any of these trades, but I'd like to hear some predictions..

My guess is that they trade the 3rd pick, Bradley, Zeller, and 2019 LAC pick (protected) to CHI for Jimmy Butler. Not something I want but just a prediction.

I would love to see Jackson taken by the Lakers and then dangle the opportunity to grab Ball to the Kings. This way we can swap picks. However, I don't want the 5 and 10. Instead I would want 5 and a pick swap next year. So this:

#5
2018 Kings 1st rd pick

for

#3 (Ball)
2018 Celtics 1st pick

If Tatum falls to 5, we can draft him. If not, we go with Isaac.

Either way the return on the # 1 would be fascinating.

Tatum or Isaac
2018 Kings
2018 Lakers or 2019 Kings

I would jump all over that. And you are guaranteed one of Tatum or Isaac.

3rd pick for 5 and 10 seems possible. They could then take Isaac and Markannen or Smith, all guys that they worked out.

You have to think Vivek would foam at the mouth with the thought of having Ball and the excitement and attention he would instantly generate.

It's not, not at all.

The entire league just saw the Celtics gave up Markelle Futlz for the #3 pick and one more pick that has protections. No way Sacramento does that for an inferior asset, more so when they are in line to get De'Aaron Fox.

3rd pick for #10 and right to swap with sacremento next year. We would basically be assured at least one top 3 pick.

Also After the pelicans experiment is a disaster 3 top 7 picks for davis is more than compelling and should get it done

We had the 1st pick and now have the 3rd in this draft, unfortunately. Maybe, we can trade back each year until we get 1, 2, and 3 in a future draft.

I prefer the deal above of 3 for 5 plus swap next year....but I don't think Sac would do it because 5 could be as good as 3 this year.

3 for 10 plus swap next year as you say is actually tempting.  It's pretty easy to imagine Sac's pick being top 4 next year (no Cousins for the whole year instead of just part of it).

At 10 I'm guessing we'd take whoever's left between Markannen and Collins.  If it's Ntiliikina left at 10 we either package it for veteran help or trade one of IT/Bradley.   Eventually, against GS in finals we could use a guy with Ntilikina's defense....plus he can shoot.  I predict Ntilikina to Minny though...or NY.

Next year's draft:
Nets pick #2
Sac pick #3
Laker pick #5

Keep pick 2 or pick 3....trade 2 or 3, plus 5 plus Bradley for Davis.

IT, Smart, Rozier
Brown, Hayward, Smart
Hayward, Brown
Davis, Markannen, Theiss
Horford, Zizic, Yabu

End fantasy

Yeah it's a fantasy, ainge would get absolutely crucified by the media and fans if he traded 1 all the way down to 10 for future picks. Look what happened yesterday lol half this board wants him fired and celticsblog are the homerist of the homers

I love this trade, TP.  I'd even do for the 10th pick.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

3 for pacers #18, right to swap 2018, and 2019 unprotected picks 😎

Its pretty easy to predict which teams will be in the gutter in 2 years time

If the Pacers are on the verge of blowing it up, why would they give their lotto picks to the Cs?

For the Cs, I think a Jimmy Butler trade is coming soon.

Yeah, get that feeling too. Chicago could be ready to hit the reset button with the #3.
