Gotta love how the green brigade is trying to spin this deal as a Celtics win.

Over the last few weeks, people posted several hypothetical trade scenarios on this board in which we received a lot more than we do now, and they almost universally got shut down by the majority on this board, but now that a worse deal is actually happening, it's "a smart move". smh

Unfortunately for us, Fultz's value compared to his peers declined slightly (rather than skyrocketed) in the days/weeks leading up to the draft. I agree, it would have been much better for us had we gotten the Lakers pick AND the Sac pick, but another top 5 pick is a huge asset - especially when Danny is going to get a player he would rather have (or want just as much).

I don't think people are enamored with this deal, but I am glad Danny/Brad don't have to take Fultz if they really didn't want to. Taking Jackson at #1 would have been worse.
