Needs lights out scoring, high three point shooting, and establishing the pace of the game ... You have 4 all stars in the lineup with the potential of promising young players and some one who can guard Lebron. Not giving up on future as you keep Smart, Brown and 18 Nets pick

Isiah
Melo - trade Crowder, Bradley, and future protected first
Butler - trade #1 pick
Horford
Brown

Bench-
Zizic
Smart
Rozier
Yabusesle
Jerebko

Lol, yeah okay.

And I take AB over Butler in terms of guarding Steph...

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Melo would not cost all that. He is gone and Phil has done a pretty good job of lowering his trade value by declaring that he wants him gone. Phil probably sees Melo as an obstacle in tanking and as a large salary....it's like the "do more with less".

JIMMY BUTLER FOR FULTZ is not happening IMO because we already have a variation of Jimmy Butler in JAYLEN BROWN.

MARCUS SMART is not part of our future core IMO and is a glorified Tony Allen. Not worth the 14 million to resign him, especially with Fultz, Jaylen, and presumably IT.

again AB and Crowder are role players ... plus salaries have to match up... I dont see that is "that much" considering that Melo is a great scorer, albeit only that...

Jaylen Brown is NO WHERE NEAR the level of Butler ... maybe he will get there, not in 3-4 years though... Again this post was to put the Celtics in win now ...

You may overvalue Smart though. He is a RFA next summer and could grab around 14 million for a guy that has ZERO first-step, can't drive to the rim, and is not a particularly good shooter percentage wise. Basically, his development looks very stunted.
If I had to choose I'd pay AB the extra 6-8 million per year and trade Smart this summer.

What is great though is that we are the Celtic's and we have Jaylen Brown and Fultz, 2 players that will be getting 30+ mpg this season IMO.
