Tristan Thompson can't even play in these finals can you imagine Drummond trying to get minutes?
Dwight Howard played like 23ish minutes a game in the playoffs too, and Howard is much better than Drummond.

He's essentially a better scoring version of DeAndre Jordan, but with possibly worse free throw shooting.  If you could surround him with a bunch of top flight 3/D guys, you could have a pretty good regular season team.  I don't see how he possibly fits with the Celtics offensive and defensive philosophies.

Deandre Jordan is an exponentially better defender.

Jordan may be a better defender than Drummond, but Jordan's defense is vastly overrated.  He's great at blocking shots but he's not really elite at much else.

Guys were pining for him 2-3 years ago. Shows you how much the league has changed over a short period of time. His trade value has dropped like a rock.

I'd be interested in seeing Golden State defend a team with a legit low post player, not just a defensive big who has leaping ability, and who can run a pick and roll.

When the Warriors go small, no one can match them, because they have the best shooters.
But I'd like to see someone make them play interior defense.  Small ball wasn't invented yesterday, its been around for years. The Warriors simply have 2 of the best shooters in the league and a scoring savant who is virtually unstoppable-in Durant.

GSW's small ball still has Durant, who is 7 feet tall and Green who plays very big in the line up. The Bucks are the only team that could match that length and they are still a few years and a player or two away from being able to compete for a title.

There's one key difference between DeAndre and Drummond; DeAndre's good at defense.

That used to be the case. DeAndre has gotten pretty good at positioning himself and not chasing blocks.

2-3 years ago he was on a rookie contract with hopes that he'd improve.  Instead he's treaded water or possibly even regressed a bit.  If he played like a younger Jordan, he'd be getting lots of interest.

He's only 23, he can still improve.  In the 2015-16 season he was an All-Star and All-NBA player.  He would solve our rebounding problems and I think we could get him fairly cheap (certainly no Brooypicks).
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

This board is obsessed with tall guys who play bad basketball

He's available because he sucks and no one wanted to trade even a top 55 protected pick for him

Some of the board is obsessed with rim protectors not sure Drummond even does that? Luckily I don't think the C's have any interest in him either.

You cant shoot the 3 nor FT over 70 percent... Not needed

That you, Brad?

Drummond, Noel, Faried, Monroe, Cousins, Howard.....none of those players or type of player will ever play for the Cs CBS, even if we got them for FREE.

if the nba drops the three point shot or moves it back 3 ft......maybe the big guys become in vogue once again.

Drummond should go to the underhanded ( Rick Barry) free-throw. It would change a lot.

The Warriors keep a few bigs around for window dressing. They now have Durant and Green--both can play up front and rebound. One reason why the Celtics were hot for Durant. Their 5s like Pechulia (sp?) and McGee play scant minutes. Another key player up front is Iguodala. Iggy and Green are both excellent defensively.

I'd send Crowder, Rozier, the BOS 1st and some fillers to match the salary for him. Anything that demands BKN picks or Brown is off limits.

His style of play doesn't fit with what CBS and DA have stated they want to play. You just can't have a team of miss matched parts, all pulling in different directions.

He camps under the basket to do his damage just as a 1970's type of big man, plus he can't shoot free throws at all.

Drummond seems like a non factor for the Cs. He is to much money and doesn't fit their style at all. I suspect a true center (like Zizic or Amir last season) would be a 20-25mpg player on this team leaving the rest of the game to be played with 5 capable perimeter players.

I will throw this out their as a non Cs Drummond idea.

Lets say Fultz goes 1, then the lakers pass on Ball at 2 taking Jackson or Fox instead.

Do the Suns trade Bledsoe + Chandler and a future lotto protected 1st for Drummond?

The Suns would then have a Ball/Booker backcourt with Knight as 3rd guard. Their Bigs would be to floor spacers in Chriss and Bender along with P&R diving Drummond. He may save his career has Balls dive man in this situation.

The Pistons want to make the playoffs and adding Bledoe and Chandler may help that the trick will be the talent they can get for #12 and R Jackson. Maybe offer Cs Johnson and #12 for AB? Then if 76ers, Kings or Knicks miss out on a PG send them Jackson for a wing?
