I think if David Blatt would've coached this finals much better. Ty Lue has made no adjustments. He should've benched J.R. Smith after game one. Lue should've been ready for small ball from the get go. Brad Stevens would've coached that game last night to a win. The Cars only needed one hoop to win that last night.

Blatt was very underrated. Lebron is poor at basketball management skills. He forced heat to draft shabazz Napier  who ended up being terrible, then wanted cavs to get ty lue in place of blatt

Yeah, Blatt got that series with the GSW to 6 games with Bron and a bunch of role players...

Blatt did a terrible job in Cleveland.   A lot of it has to do with the fact that he lost the players immediately, but that is also an important part of coaching.

I don't think it would have mattered who was coaching.  It didn't matter from game to game who was coaching the Warriors.   Just to much out there to match.

Lue need to do what Blatt did two years ago and slow it down, especially in last nights game at the end. There was an 11 to 0 run in the last 3 minutes.  I think a Pop or a BS wins that game with great coaching. Lue is just Brons puppet... Lue is a very lucky guy but not a great coach.

I do think that James the GM has put them in a bad situation to compete with the warriors. They needed more athleticism to keep up with the Warriors, and like his time in Miami, the Cavs have loaded up on players that are "names," but are not too old and not established. Korver, Williams, Jr Smith etc really don't have business playing major minutes and are all offense no defense. Korver and Williams were cut after Lebron was openly lamenting the lack of playmakers. They also have given roster spots to Lebron friends James Jones and Dahntay jones for the playoffs that could have been used by younger athletes that could at least have legs for defensive runs.

Very true. Bron is a horrible GM.

lebronS way of forcing his personal friends to be hired is bad gm practice because his friends are bad at basketball. what good is a 40 year old James jones as a back up? Deron williams ok can kind of understand but he's very washed up and garbage.

I can imagine he forced the cavs to get 115lb Larry sanders.

Ty Lue is not a good coach. He blew that game last night. Nice move at 12.9 seconds when you need a 3 bringing in Tristan Thompson for Korver. Nice job making sure ISO Kyrie knew there was a 2 for 1 opportunity and that he should just dribble it away at the 3 point line and launch a terrible shot. Nice job wasting over 10 seconds before fouling a very good free throw shooter. Lue is dazed and confused.

Lue's end of game management is a nightmare. So many coaches could've closed out that game in a better fashion than Ty Lue did last night. It just goes to show how much coaching does matter, especially in close games.

I don't think Blatt > Lue is a controversial take at all. Blatt's a bit of an ***, but he's a highly accomplished coach and is out of the NBA because he was not the right coach for LeBron. It's highly likely/a borderline certainty that the Cavs would be better off with Blatt.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Its more of a talent disparity than coaching.
