So to be clear, I don't really think this will happen, but it is an interesting discussion point (especially averaging one game a week right now). If the Warriors do stay this dominate and do a 4 game sweep what happens to the Cavs? They are already clearly in win now mode as one of the oldest teams in the league. What could they do to get closer to Warriors?

Trade Love?
Let all their old vets go (jefferson, smith, korver, williams, frye)?
Try to get rid of Irving for Paul and Carmelo?

If they do get embarrassed with a sweep would be tough to imagine a summer without major changes.

I don't think they need to be swept for a change to be made. If GS wins this series in 5 or 6 clear cut games those questions will be asked. I think they look to trading Love because LeBron isn't going to keep rolling back the same team each year hoping to upset them again.

Pray Durant opts out & goes elsewhere.

I don't think Cleveland will get much for K-Love in a trade. I think they will have better options with Kyrie Irving. Maybe go after Paul George. Or even Jimmy Butler.

Put George there to defend Durant. Indy gets Kyrie to restart their franchise around since P-George will be leaving anyway.

Kyrie next to Turner is a nasty PnR duo.

I think Kyrie and Lebron really love each other though. Then again, so did Wade and James.

I think they keep the core of Lebron, Irving,Love, Thompson and Smith intact. That leaves Shumpert, Frye and Jefferson as the only other guarateed contracts. So there will be a bunch of adding players on minimum contracts and if theythey want to go deep into the luxury tax again use the MLE for a rotation player upgrade.

If changes are made I think its Smith that goes in a trade.

Could see someone like Taj Gibson taking the MLE. JJ Reddick could also be a nice add for them in the MLE to replace Korver.

No way Reddick takes the mid level when other teams will offer him 16 million.

Cavs can't do anything except run it back. They got to the finals already multiple times with this team. Why would they change it?

They can only add minimums. Trading Kevin love is short sighted. This team steamrolled the east

Logic says you are right, though I am not sure who is giving him that type of money. But if he wants to chase a ring doing so while making almost $9 million a year isn't so bad.

I don't think he has ever made supesrstar money so it is really really hard to imagine him turning down his one chance to do it. I think a team like Philly, Minnesota etc trying to make the leap that needs shooting would do it.

They try to replicate what the Celtics did by dumping their big 3 on some silly GM For a horse of picks.

Overreaction done.

If they were run by CBlog they'd be trading rotation players for mid first draft choices.

This is probably the most likely scenario

They should trade Lebron to the Celtics for Brown, Fultz and Brooklyn 2018.
