And is he big enough to battle with the big boys right away?

Is he more of an offensive or defensive player at this point in his career?

I view him as a player who can come in, and kill the boards in his limited minutes right away. I think he will be a threat in the pick and roll, and will get alot of garbage and hustle points. It is my understanding that his jumper game is still very raw, and I don't view him as being the next Rudy Gobert at rim defense.

But I think his toughness will help him be a slight positive on both ends of the floor right immediately. I'm not sold on his ability to guard the perimeter against faster 4s (Yes I know he is a center, but on defense we need someone to guard the perimeter, as Horford doesn't do it well at this stage.)

I view his floor as a hustle rebounder who struggles to finish against the elites of the league. And his defense as just a big body.

I view his ceiling as like a Steven Adams with a better jumper and better passing (and I mean maxed out ceiling here.)

The one thing he can do in his first year is rebound. He won't be able to do much else other than put back baskets and get himself into foul trouble in his rookie year though.

I could see him being a Gortat at the very best, but I have tempered expectations.  2nd round stashes tend to not amount to much, so obviously his floor would be bench-warmer.

If he can reach that Gortat potential though, it would be yuuuuge for the Celtics

The guy he's most often compared to is Steven Adams.

Luckily he isn't a second round stash.

Yeah. He's a first round stash that reportedly would have gone in the top 10 in this year's draft.

Heh, I completely forgot that he was drafted in the 20's of round 1.  Still, my point remains; guys drafted outside of the lottery are pretty prone to hardly ever showing up.  I don't think it is unfair to say that his floor is to be a complete nonfactor

So what do you think about the multiple reports suggesting he'd be ~10 if he had entered the draft this year?

Ceiling: Kareem

Blatt recently paid Zizic a fantastic endorsement.  He seems like a very intelligent, coachable, hard-working, high-motor guy that can help on the boards early on, albeit in limited minutes.

I'd be quite content if he turned out to be a 6 time MVP :D

I view his ceiling as a mix between Shaq and Hakeem personally.

Sabonis and Kareem are both Ceilings. Sabonis in his prime was, by everyone that saw him play, a seven foot Three Larry Bird.
