Based on UFAs who we'd even have a chance at luring please rank in order your preference for who Danny should target. If Hayward says no who's your next choice, etc. etc.

http://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/

My picks:

Hayward (then pick up a big via trade later)
Milsap
Ilyasova
Mirotic
James Johnson

My other option us to get two mid-range UFAs and split that cap space in two, like:
 JJ Redick or Tony Snell
Plus...

Bogut or Taj Gibson

I don't think we'd have any shot at Z-Bo or Blake Griffin.

Hayward.

Danny can only knock on one door at midnight.

Big if - if we could get James Johnson and he was able to sustain the way he played this year for Miami, I think he's our best possible pick. I think he was the single biggest reason why Miami surged in the second half last year. He'd give us most of what Milsap would (great defense, minus about 5 pts a game on offense), but he's 3 years younger, and would be half the cost.

I'd rather have him and keep Bradley and KO than have one of these max free agents.

Says he wont go for 2nd or 3rd best available guy at a position in free agency. I took that as not going for someone like griffin

Okay, so who is the best available PF/C in Free Agency this summer?

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Brad Stevens call Hayward the last time Hayward hit RFA.

Of course, it wasn't serious talks because C's at the time barely had cap space and the C's were a tanking team, but still.

Maybe Brad Stevens calls Hayward first and finds a way to lure him here lol.

My guess is, Ainge would probably take Griffin, and then the 2nd tier options.

Depends, if CP3 leaves, I could see LAC deciding to full on rebuild, and they may not offer Griffin a max.

In that case, YES, because I don't see many other teams being able to or wanting to offer Griffin a max.

But if Clippers want to keep him, they'll offer him the max, and so C's have to either offer the max or Griffin 110% stays.

Stevens and Danny should noth be in Utah at the strike of midnight. Bring PP, KG, IT, Fultz and Horford with them.

You forgot Tom Brady. No free agent meeting can be had without Tom Brady front and center.
