I misread before I voted and thought it was the Brooklyn 18 not the Boston 18 being offered.  I suspect most of the other NO votes did as well.  Crowder and the Boston 2018 for #8 is a no brainer especially if you're expecting to get Hayward.  I'd love to get Markkanen to replace KO.

Polls this unrealistic are a waste of time. No way Knicks give that pick for Crowder.

New York would have no incentive to make this deal.

I do this in a second, but alas this is just one of those unrealistic tradeds that fans love to post. Our 2018 pick is going to be like 20 something.  Crowder is already showing signs of losing a step and even when he is on his game he really is only a 14-16 point per game scorer.  Sure he can get over 20 but it's not that often and it's becoming more infrequent.  Since late firsts are as big a long shot as early second the trade is basically Crowder for the #8.  That is so lopsided no way even Ainge has the stones to offer up such a low ball.

Knicks have a lot of holes. We could offer all three second rounders. Phil is a moron and loves Crowder.

Crowder is going to be better than some rookie for at least two years. Worth a shot.

He's right that it isn't a realistic trade.  The Knicks are looking to move on from Melo and rebuild.  Why would they want Crowder versus a top 10 rookie?  They'd take Smith or maybe Ntilikina.  The Boston 2018 certainly isn't incentive enough for them to make the trade.

I dunno, he's not supposed to be a good rebounder and I think our defense would suffer with him and Horford out there together. I would rather take Collins and hope his offense can reach an acceptable level.

Exactly why if the Knicks are trying to unload Melo and trying to build with youth around Porzingas would they trade their number 8 pick for a role player and a late first rounder a year out. This year's draft is supposedly deep and next year's top heavy and low in talent outside the lottery. Phil Jackson is a lot of things but a complete moron is not one of them. He would never make such a lopsided trade.

The 2018 draft features much better BIGS.

Ayton and Bamba are 2 unreal prospects and will be accompanied by a few other bigs. Bamba has a 7'9'' wingpsn and 9'6'' standing reach. Ayton is 250 and 7' with a 9'5'' standing reach and 7'5.5'' wingspan.

IMO the 2018 BKN pick is worth more than this trade. Also we have to factor that Brooke Lopez is an UFA in 2018. If the Nets are going to trade him the most probable time would be around the draft for picks....

BKN without Lopez is the worst team in the league....again. We should take that into account.

You do this trade before the draft (so Boston picks whomever it wants), but at that time Boston won't even be able to talk to Hayward, so you would have to do this with no expectation whatsoever regarding Hayward.  I'd be fine with it, but I did want to point that out.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The trade proposal was for the worse of our two picks next year. Obviously the Celtics own pick.
