We could even sweeten the deal with #37 this year if needed.

This is again if we are getting Hayward. It gives us a chance to also get one of the best big man prospects in the draft.

Markkanen who would fit perfectly, or Zach Collin's of Gonzaga. Unreal shooting team with Fultz, Brown, Smart off the bench.

 Horford
 Markkanen
 Hayward
 Bradley
 Thomas

Yes, absolutely. This is a good moment to trade Crowder. Reputation is high but performances have been slipping. Good time to trade him.

We have 3 rookies coming in already. That's enough.

I agree Who. Phil Jackson loves Crowder, he's probably going to move Melo. This trade allows them to move him for the best package and not worry about the SF position.

Yeah. Dont think NYK would bite.

that said, if we pulled the trigger here predraft and then Philly called up and said we will do #3 and Simmons for #1 and 8 do you pull the trigger?

purely hypothetical. I doubt Philly offers that and I doubt NYK accepts the original deal.

Yabu is probably not coming right now. You don't pass up on a stretch four like Markkanen.

If you can snag him. You do it.

Terrible idea!  The 2018 pick is going to be in the top 5 of a draft that will be full of impact bigs.  None of the bigs in the 2017 draft are on the level of Porter, Ayton, or Bamba.

We have 3 rookies coming in already. That's enough.

ROFL.  And when he turns into a lesser Kelly Olynyk?  People will be bashing this move for decades.

The pick being traded is the Boston '18 pick which projects in the 20s of a very top-heavy draft.

Simmons and Tatum/Jackson/whoever for Fultz and an Isaac type player.
That is incredibly intriguing. I love Simmons, and as a fellow countryman I'd be pretty excited. Also do like both the game's of Tatum and Jackson, although we might lean towards a guard considering we would still likely pursue Hayward in the offseason.

All this being said, Jae Crowder is on an insanely good contract for us, and will be on it for the majority of his athletic prime. Would be hard to part with such a bargain.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Yeah Smokey, before you start typing ROFL, you might wanna read my post again. Not the Nets pick, Boston's pick in the mid to late 20's.

ROFL did you get that wrong!

YES...and I would throw in all 3 of our 2nd round picks this year---NYK need to get as many players as they can....we don't need those 2nd rounders at all.
