You forgot the best big man prospect in the draft, Zach Collins.

Trade IT to the Mavs for the 9th pick.

Use the pick to draft Isaac (hopefully he is still on the board).

Holy heck, the calamity that would erupt in the wake of this move.  Wowzer.

He's going to feel really embarrassed when he sobers up.   ;D
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

If we have cap space to use and can't land Hayward I wouldn't mind Ainge offering a short term contract to either Blake (ideally) or Milsap.  Something like two years with a player option, or a 1 and 1 though I doubt either guy would take that

Imagine Blake on a short term deal that lined up with our current core?  I would be fine with that.

It might sound crazy but if he could somehow prove he could stay in shape (longshot and doubtful), I could see Sully back here on at the exception level.

Danny is thinking tatum

If he is wanting Tatum he better not take him at #1. He better trade down for more assets first.

Just like when everyone thought he shouldn't take Brown at #3 and should trade down to 6-7 instead? Ainge will just take who he wants to take regardless of 'expert' draft boards.

So would I, and I think so would Ainge. He took back Antoine Walker and Gerald Green , he seems always open to returns if they are on his terms.

Drummond!

Does not fit our system, can't spread the floor and he rebounds.

Same problems everyone was talking about with DeAndre Jordan pretty much.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Ha are you saying rebounding as a reason he is not a Celtic?

Realistically. I'd do a backflip for Porter next year. Bamba Or Ayton are the second and third choices long term solution.

This year I would trade Crowder for Markkanen if possible.

If not I love Bam Adebayo and TJ Leaf If Ainge can aquire a late first.

And there is always two first rounders on there way Zizic and Yabu.
Is Markkanen that much better than Zizic? I honestly don't know.

Completely different players. Zizic inside toughness, Mark a prolific 3 point shooter who struggles inside.

Depending on what happens in free agency/trades it can be broken down into 4 categories.

1) the max guys
Probably just Griffin and maybe Milsap.

2) the room exception if we sign Hayward to the max.
Maybe someone like Bogut, but there are a decent amount of choices out there.

3) We strike out on a max guy, and look to sign someone for say 20 mil tops so we are able to retain some of our other free agents.  I was thinking of starting a thread callled plan B free agents as there are tons to choose from.

Some other names to throw out there are Greg Monroe, Ibaka, and Zach Randolph.

Greg Monroe is very interesting because he is still young, can provide scoring down low that we lack, and a good passer for our offense.

4) trades.  It can be a whole range of guys from somone older like Marc Gasol, or young like Derrick Favors.

I thought about Favors but $ don't work unless they move Crowder, Rozier, DJ, and Mickey for him. I could see Jazz taking that deal if they lose Hayward. But C's would then be asking Hayward to take even less $ as that deals removes another 3 million to sign FAs and rookies.   One way to get around it is If they do a S&T and throw in C's 2018 1st it then works and Jazz get a trade exemption.

IT, AB, Hayward, Horford, Favors.
Fultz, Smart, Brown, Yab, Zizic.

That's a great starting 5 and a promising bench.
