Let's assume that Millsap and Griffin are out the window.  How does everyone want Danny Ainge to handle the PF spot if we don't have much money to spend on the position?  I was looking at potential free agents and I found a surprising fit.  Nene had a great season for the Houston Rockets and his DRPM has been easily in the top 10 among Centers for the past 4 seasons.  He was by far the Rockets best defender and their defensive efficiency was on par with the Utah Jazz with him on the court.  Nene's length has always allowed him to finish well in the paint and I believe he would fit extremely well as a 20-25 MPG starter alongside Horford.

I realize that a 34 year old Center isn't what most people are hoping for but I would be open to the idea as a cheap option.  I suggest everyone read this article if you want to dismiss him without consideration.

Trade IT to the Mavs for the 9th pick.

Use the pick to draft Isaac (hopefully he is still on the board).

I'm not sure about his character issues, but if we could get James Johnson to play for us like he did in the second half of last year for Miami, he might help us more than some of the big name free agents. He'd be ideal.

Donatas Motiejunas. He can stretch the floor, has a good post game, is young, and can be had for cheap. He would flourish in our system.

Bogut on the cheap.

But I think it will more than likely be addressed via trade after the draft/FA frenzy.

Unfortunately I think Bogut is done after his last injury.

Move Horford to PF, sign a free agent center like Mason Plumlee, he's young and a rough tough kid, he scores a little, rebounds well. He has up-side remaining. Sign him to start and play 20-22 minutes a game. When you want to go small sit him down, and move Horford back to Center. This way we have a true big available to deal with the full size centers.

I'd like to have Noel, but he may get big dollars and stay in Dallas.

God that would be a terrible move. Both for chemistry and for the position we're in.

I like JaMychal Green. Coming off a really solid season in Memphis. Good rebounder and pretty decent shooter from deep. Also a fan of Taj Gibson.

I am SO with you on this one.

He may come in on the cheap too. Perfect big man for Brad's system.

He got injured within a minute of playing recently. He's a joke

This ^^^^

I would also be interested in what they'd want for Noel.

1. They cant trade Noel. He is a free agent.
2. When was the last time a team traded a lottery pick for an injured player.

1. No sign and trade option?
2. Good point.
