Why not re-sign Green instead of bringing in a new face.
Green's face was pretty ugly when he got that tech last night!

I don't get picky when it comes to end of bench guys making the vet minimum. Whoever will sign that has a pulse.

This. I don't see why we wouldn't just keep Gerald in this role. When we needed a scoring punch he could come in and do that. The young guys have publicly stated how important he has been to their development, on the practice court and in the locker room. If he's an 11th or 12th man who sporadically plays 10-20 minutes a couple games a week for the vet min, then I have absolutely no problem with that.

Why not re-sign Green instead of bringing in a new face.

Green re-signed in Boston because he loved playing here. While he may not have had the bigger role he was hoping for, I think things went pretty well for him:

- He was a contributor to a team that went to the ECF
- He was a starter in the Bulls series
- By all reports, he was a great mentor to our young players, especially Brown
- He was allowed to play 'his' game while on the court

The thing with Green is I don't know if another team will offer him big dollars. It's not like he sucked his last year in Miami; the fit just wasn't there. I am pretty sure there will be a spot for him at the minimum if he wants one.

Agreed.  It was nice to have Gerald back, especially the intangibles of veteran locker room presence, but there are better options.  He never became the pure shooter we had all hoped for.

On the other hand we could just draft Fultz and let him run the 2nd unit the way Evan Turner used to. Then we can use the vet in on a 7ft bruiser.
Tough responsibility for a rookie.  I want to see Fultz get significant minutes with the starters, possibly as a sixth man, just as Jaylen did this year.

James Young. He's been soaking up experience on the bench with Green, Wallace and other vets and his contract is cheap if we give him one next year (3 million)

You are joking right?

Fultz is the easy answer.  He will take Green's and Roziers minutes.  I hope for more but unless one of Thomas, Smart or Bradley are traded or hurt he may not get more then 20-25 minutes a game.

Welcome to CB, tonydelk!  I gave you your first TP.  If Green had had a 50-point game in his career like tony delk did, we might have a different opinion.

Brown and Fultz, I like Rozier but if we draft Fultz, Rozier is expendable

This is the least of my offseason worries or priorities.  LOL.

Yeah. The answer from here to the OP's question is, "I don't care."
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Rozier and Brown should get all those minutes.

I think the more interesting question is who we can bring in to replace Jonas and Amir. Ideally you would consolidate their minutes into one much better player with similar size and a blend of their skills.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
