The entire clip from beginning to end including about Ball.  Just nice to hear others chyme in especially a former NBA player as opposed to the narronminded fandom I've heard all year.  IT needs to be traded, and Ball is a better fit or at least needs to be dangled in front of other teams.  Hopefully Danny starts thinking along the same lines.

I haven't had the chance to watch but

Would anyone be talking about it if they just said "Boston should draft the best player (most likely Fultz)"?

Looks like we found the one person who watches FS1.

Cowherd, Whitlock, & Broussard?  Yikes....

(And, yes, I watched it.  Mostly #hotsportstakes and carrying water for LaVar Ball)

Can you imagine saying this after his 52pt game? People need to relax with 1 game knee jerk reactions. Especially since IT was playing with a hip injury the end of the wizards series and beginning of this series.

Can Ball be a 15 - 18 ppg scorer in the NBA? If "floor generals" fall into the following three categories, where does Ball fit?

Elite scoring and passing: CP3, Wall

Very good scoring and passing: Jrue Holiday

Elite passing, mediocre scoring: Rubio, Rondo

In this day and age it's better to have a scoring guard who passes well enough than a pass first guard who may not be able to score consistently.

I would say that Wall and Paul aren't really "elite" scorers. They are good scorers. Elite scorers would be guys like Westbrook, Harden, Curry, Lillard, Irving. Those are guys whose primary objective is to put the ball in the basket. Paul and Wall can on occasion take over games with their scoring but that's not their first instinct/best skill.

Ball's complete inability to score in the midrange as well as taking jumpshots off his right hand is a massive hindrance. I think he made a dozen midrange shots all season - which in the league today is a pretty big skill to be missing.

However, his ability to knock down deep 3's (at college level at least) was very impressive. Whether or not this translates is yet to be seen. I still doubt he'll ever be an elite scorer.

You're missing the point about the flow of the offense and it's trade value right now that will help this team moving forward unless again he goes to 6th man. How valuable would he have been comin. Off the bench last nite.

Any objective analysis of Ball's skill will show that he isn't the player he is made out to be. Ball is MCW that can knock down a open 3 and no midrange jumper.

TP. This is the type of information that reveals why I hang out on a message board with a lot of people who know much more about basketball than I do.

I don't like Kristine Leahy. She was very calculated with Lavar Ball and acted like she wore a Halo. Lavar is Lavar. But Kristine acting like he was going to assault her was a huge con job.

Exactly,
Not only does he have zero mid-range game, but as long as he shoots the way he does Lonzo Ball will not even have the ABILITY for a mid-range jumper

TP's all round. The mid-range is such a crucial spot for a point guard to be able to score from, especially considering how pick & roll's feature most times down the court. Such a glaring skill gap, especially on a team where we have IT.

Cowherd spent a lot of his show on this.  He thinks Ball is a classic facilitator that will make everyone better and for a team like Boston that has a lot of C+/B- type players (though athletes), Ball will elevate them into B+/B- type players and would do so almost immediately and thus would be a better fit than Fultz.  Cowherd thinks Fultz has a higher top end potential than Ball, but at least for the next couple of seasons Fultz will be a poor mans Avery Bradley.  He thinks this series has shown that Boston isn't as far away as many think and thus drafting Ball and signing Hayward in free agency (or trading for Butler for lesser pieces and future draft picks) will make Boston a real threat to Cleveland the next couple of seasons.  He also says that if he was picking between Bradley and Thomas, he would choose Bradley.  The last two games Boston has shown much better ball movement offensively and defensively it isn't close.  Boston is just a better defensive team without Thomas, which he thinks makes Boston a better team overall, especially if they added Ball this summer with his passing and facilitation.
