LeMarcus obviously had a rough year, or at the very least dropped off from what one would expect from him.
Reports coming out now that the SPurs might look to move him. Contract is obviously a concern but i'd imagine the package to get him would be minimal.

He fills a lot of holes we have right now. Not sure I would want to take on his contract but he with  Horford pairing is intriguing.

why ? Moving him is one thing .... getting rid of him is another.

He'll be 32 next season, and moves like he's 38.

There's no way I'd give up anything for him and take on $22M/yr to pay him. He just isn't worth it.

As a plan D option, with minimal pieces outgoing, sure.

Would he really mesh well with Horford?  I have my doubts.

Along with his contract he is a net negative right now.  If we could get an unprotected 2020 first round pick with him I'd do it.  :)

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Should the Celtics consider having one of the worst front court defenses?

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

If we miss out on free agent targets, we will have enough cap space to absorb his contract without having to renounce Kelly. In that case, I guess I would be OK with Aldridge.

He's almost 32 years old and his best days are behind him. I'm not sure what signing him accomplishes.

He's cooked.

yeah ,  he does not seem as useful as Horford with this CBS team.  He seemed to be chugging and lugging up and down court .  Not the lean and mean player of the past .  He has put on too much weight.  His best  years have passed him by Im afraid

Lee , Gasol and Aldridge all running on a low tank at this pou t in their careers . They are not far behind Noah as used up.

Spurs, other than Leonard seem about done . Lots of elderly NBA players.

five years ago Aldridge was much quicker and agile ,  he is lumbering dino now.

I don't know what happened to LMA. Dude used to be a force and his game seems like it ages well.

He plays as if he's put on 40 pounds since his late Portland days. Dude is sluggish as heck.
