1. Draft Fultz and Swanigan; use other 2nds on stashes;

2. Trade Avery Bradley for future draft picks (AB to Philly for 2020 OKC #1?);

3. Trade Demetrius Jackson to anyone willing, using a late #2 if necessary;

4. Renounce all free agents except KO;

5. Sign Gordon Hayward with cap space;

6. Sign Chris Bosh with $4.3 million room exception;

7. Sign Zizic and Nader; get Yabu to stay overseas

8. Sign KO

Horford / Zizic
Bosh / KO / Swanigan
Hayward / Crowder / Nader
Brown / Smart
IT / Fultz / Rozier

Bosh is determined to attempt a comeback, and based upon precedent in other leagues, I'm convinced he'll be able to play.

If there's any wiggle room in the cap, I'd hold off on trading Jackson and would try to trade him, Rozier no picks for Kyle O'Quinn.

TP for outlining a reasonable course of action. I, and probably many others, would probably need more medical information on Bosch. That move seems iffy right now for a team that needs everything to work perfectly to compete with Cleveland. Interesting outside the box idea, nonetheless.

Obviously a pretty ideal scenario (but not unrealistic!). I like the Bosh idea, too.

I would hope to get a better pick than a top 20 protected 1st for AB, though. It is pretty slim pickins looking down the list of future traded picks, but it would be great to at least nab that Sac '19 1st from Philly over the OKC one.

And then you go unrealistic.  You're not getting the unprotected 2019 Kings 1st for AB.

I like most of it.. but I feel like Bosh is NEVER happening to be honest.

Although the room exception could be used on a PF/C and that's pretty much your plan too.

If we can't land Paul George with a deal centered around the '18 Nets pick, then I'd be pleased with the scenario in the OP. Assuming good health, we'd likely earn the number one seed again, and could give the Cavs a run for their money, while still retaining a valuable trade chip in the '18 Nets pick. As Brown and Fultz continue to develop, we'd have serious dynasty potential.

Don't rain on my parade!  ;D

I would like to think we could at least obtain something that is in slotted in the late lottery. AB will be a wanted man...maybe even more so than IT.

1) Renounce all free agents except KO;

2) Trade AB and a minimal salary (Jackson) to Memphis for the rights to JaMychal Green (clears about 8 mil in cap)

3) Draft Fultz and one of Motley, Bell, Adebayo do whatever you want with the other 2 2nds

4) Sign Hayward

5) Sign Zizic and Nader

6) Re-sign KO

7)Trade Crowder to fill a hole

Horford / Zizic
Green/ KO / Motley
Hayward / Brown / Nader
Smart / Fultz
IT / Rozier /

Yes, a wee bit on the nutz side

Green is a free agent so he can't be traded.  He's going to get a good salary bump in free agency.

Any offseason trading Bradley is far from ideal.

Mine.

1. Renounce all free agents except KO.
2. Trade IT for a pick as high/least protected as possible. Before the injury, we could have gotten a decent rookie-scale player, but...
3. Draft Fultz and stash the rest of picks with Euros (Vezenkov, Jeanne, etc) or trade them.
4. Sign Hayward, Zizic and Fultz.
5. Sign cheap FAs and Nader. If necessary, trade away Rozier, Jackson and Mickey.
6. Re-sign Olynyk. Convince Yabu to stay in a Euro powerful team for a year.

Ten man rotation: Smart, Fultz, Bradley, Brown, Hayward, Crowder, Olynyk, Horford, Zizic. And a FA for the PF position like Nenê, McGee, Bosh or Zach Randolph for some exception/minimum.

If Rozier, Jackson or Mickey can be "saved", don't trade them. If you can resign for peanuts Jerebko or GGreen, do it. I mean, the preference is to keep as many guys as possible, but I've tried to be cautious regarding salary cap. I hope this is possible, sorry if not.

This offseason is not a dream pipe, it's optimistic but also probable.

Why would Hayward sign here after we traded IT?

Why would Hayward sign here after we traded IT?

Because he's seeing us win "one and a half" games to the Cavaliers without him and draft Fultz.

Even though IT is the reason they are in the ECF in the first place?

This doesn't work under the cap. Olynk is looking at a payday at of at least 10m per year, I would suggest its closer to $14, no way you can sign both Hayward and re-up Olynk to a reasonable salary, even if you dump Bradleys $8.8 million contract

Even in this scenario below where you renounce all FA's (including Olynk) you are around $5 Million below a max for Hayward, I think Abdel Nader will also be on the roster at around $800,000 and he's not mentioned in the scenario below.

1   Bradley          $8,808,989
2   Brown, Jaylen   $4,956,480
3   Crowder, Jae   $6,796,117
5   Horford, Al   $27,734,405
6   Rozier, Terry   $1,988,520
7   Smart, Marcus   $4,538,020
8   Thomas, Isaiah   $6,261,395
9   Yabusele, Guerschon   $2,247,480
10   Žižić, Ante   $1,645,200
11   Fultz   $7,026,240
12   2017 Pick #37   $815,615
13   2017 Pick #53   $815,615
14   2017 Pick #56   $815,615
   Projected Salary-   $74,449,691
   Projected Cap   101,000,000
   Celtics Cap Space   $26,550,309

That's not true. You just have to account for KO's cap hold, which is $7.7 million. Then, you can go over the cap to sign him.

Subtract Yabu, Bradley, and the 13th and 14th cap charge.
