Way too much for Butler. I don't think Hayward and Butler on a gutted Celtics team wins anything.

Will we have anything left for vet signings?

Just saw this on twitter. Felt it was an overpay to start but when i broke it down it started to make sense.IF WE SIGN HAYWARD FIRSTAB, Jae, Rozier and BK18 for Jimmy ButlerWhy?1. AB has one more year left on his deal and will get PAID next offseason. Like I'm guessing about 5-6 million more than Butler makes right now. Don't get me wrong, I love AB. His heart and Celtic pride have been amazing for the past almost decade. But, his value is almost as high as it will ever be so you gotta think about what you can get.2. Jae is not the player he used to be but he does still have a lot of value due to contract and shooting. Moving Jae would also open up more minutes for Brown.3. Terry is gone anyways if we draft Fultz (PLEASE DANNY)4. Mark my words, the brooklyn pick next year is not going to be that good (barring injuries). We saw how well the Nets played when healthy. Now theyve had another year to gel and are adding multiple first rounders this year. My guess is the pick is somewhere from 8-13. I think this is the highest value the pick will have unless they win the lottery.5. Having Jimmy on his great deal opens up more money to pay the little guy and MarcusSo at the end of the game you can trot out a lineup of:IT/Fultz/Jimmy/Hayward/HorfordThats talent
(barring injuries)
Even at the end of the game, we lined up in different formation that he hadn't seen and he called out our play before I got the ball. I heard him calling it out. -John Wall on Brad Stevens
