Cavs were called for 11 fouls the entire game.
We were called for 23.
Lebron takes three steps every time he has the ball.
Once, he caught a pass, took two steps without dribbling and took a shot. No call.
The NBA is a joke.

In other news, sky is blue.

Don't expect the officiating to favor us in the whole series. Cavs have star power, we have none now that IT is gone.

Yeah, and we still won. The refs are pulling hard for the CAVS>>>

It's been bad, to be sure, but I honestly thought it was worse in 2008, 2010 and 2012 when we played against LeBron's team than it has been this year.

Lebron once went FIVE GAMES without having a foul called on him, so you may be right.

Unless he dribbled or pivoted before he took the shot, this is not a violation.

No teams win a series 8 on 5. C's we're very lucky to pull one out.

When you run to the three point line I stead of going to the basket on fast breaks what do you expect?
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Cavs took one less 3 point shot. 39-40

The whole whining about the refs is old.  The Cavs are both more skilled and more physical.  That will generally allow them to draw more fouls.

I have no complaints about the officiating last night. They looked like they legitimately tried to get the calls right, and for the most part they did. A lot of those free throws were our guys fouling Thompson after he grabbed offensive rebounds. Keep him off the glass and that doesn't happen. Also as someone else mentioned, if we don't go to the basket we won't get fouled. Other than Horford, no one else really went to the basket last night, they all shot jumpers. I mean, they even gave Smart not one but two calls when he was shooting threes. We got calls for us last night, it was a fair game.

Points in paint:

Boston 36
Cleveland 24

Shot attempts:

Boston 91
Cleveland 70

3pt attempts:
Boston 40
Cleveland 39

That means 56% of Cleveland's shots came from beyond the arc, compared to 44% by Boston.

We were going inside, we just weren't getting any calls there.

Celtics were missing their best foul drawer.  Having IT would have gotten it closer, not only when they foul him but when the defense overreacts to him causing them to have to rotate.

Celtics would still likely been short in terms of being even.

no doubt IT's absence had an impact.

I just wish some of our other players got some respect though. Smart in particular gets fouled all the time, and hardly gets to the line. It is ridiculous.
