Celtics were missing their best foul drawer.  Having IT would have gotten it closer, not only when they foul him but when the defense overreacts to him causing them to have to rotate.

Celtics would still likely been short in terms of being even.

no doubt IT's absence had an impact.

I just wish some of our other players got some respect though. Smart in particular gets fouled all the time, and hardly gets to the line. It is ridiculous.
Smart does not get fouled all the time.  He simply isn't athletic or skilled enough to draw fouls.  He's relatively strong but by itself it is not that useful for drawing fouls.

Bradley said he told the team to stop complaining and just play....Pretty good advice, you get mentally taken out of games, when you let the refs get to you.

BTW...the refs SUCK....ha.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I don't know what games you're watching.

He gets hit all the time, across the arms, in the body. He keeps his balance on a lot of them because he is strong. But they are fouls.

Smart gets NO CALLS. He plays like a 10 yr vet and gets no respect because he's been tagged a flopper. He's a physical, savvy guard who has good defensive principles. I would hate playing against Smart and AB for 6 games.

I don't hear many people talking about AB ripping Irving clean on a steal. He's probably has the best handles in the game and AB got him.

Unfortunately, he's been tagged a flopper because... he flops really hard. It's a teaching moment.

Cavs were called for 11 fouls the entire game.
We were called for 23.
Lebron takes three steps every time he has the ball.
Once, he caught a pass, took two steps without dribbling and took a shot. No call.
The NBA is a joke.

I thought the biggest difference in this game versus Game 1 and certainly Game 2 was when the refs were going against the Cs, the Cs didn't let it affect their intensity or effort.  They played with the attitude that they would rather foul out and play hard then just stay in the game.

It's big money for the NBA to keep Lebron in the finals. Viewership must go through the roof when god himself suits up to play basketball.

NO WAY the Cavs are not getting the benefit of calls.

Someday...the NBA will begin loosing viewers because the referees are so inconsistent. Professional basketball is the worst called of the professional sports.

I don't understand why someone in the press or one of the teams doesn't stand up and complain.

Because the "conspiracy" is largely a figment of fans' imagination.

Here is my personal favorite, Lebron dribbles once while taking seven steps and the defender gets called for a foul even though he never even touched Lebron....

I honestly don't understand how people can rally believe the refs are out to get the Celtics. I mean look at our team, we're missing the one guy who consistently goes to the hoop and looks to draw contact, Isaiah. The rest of our guys are limited to straight lines and jump shots. Another way to draw fouls is physical post play, but as we've all noted are bigs are soft so no luck there. Tristan Thompson got 15 free throws because he's grabbing offensive rebounds and we hack him before he gets an easy 2. We play a 2 guys in Jaylen and Kelly who are foul prone, they are an automatic 6-8 a game. Add to the fact that covering Lebron is perhaps the most difficult assignment in the league and you're gonna get some fouls that way. Does Lebron get the benefit of some calls? Yep. Is there a conspiracy. Nope.

Cmon Smart was living in the paint.  Lebron teams have been getting pushed for SO LONG you don't even notice anymore.

Marcus Smart has his own problem, namely that fairly or not officials have marked him as a flopper. In addition the guy has no explosion in the paint, compare him to Isaiah and it looks like he's moving through mud which makes it hard to get a call. All that being said I absolutely agree that Lebron James gets calls, superstars do, it drives me nuts. I just don't think this whole 8 vs 5 thing has any merit, refs aren't out there thinking "We need to ensure the Cavs win."
