Say we draft Fultz and Sign Hayward, are we set with playmakers/ scorers? I don't think Fultz can be relied on to be the go to guy his first few years in the league.

Would LOVE to add George to this young core. He just turned 27 and will help Hayward and Horford carry this team while Fultz and Brown develop.

Now that IT is hurt and future is uncertain, I would much rather spend that money on Paul George.

It would have to be something like AB, Jae, Brk 18, Yabu(or other picks)

Can you imagine if Fultz got a bunch of starting experience in the first half of the season, then IT came back fully Healthy the second half of the year to be our stud 6th man?

Fultz.       IT
Smart.     Rosier
Hayward.    Jaylen
George.        Vet min
Horford.       Zicic

That team can compete now and still have 2 young studs like Fultz and Jaylen developing.

George,Hayward, Smart, Jaylen, Zicic, Rosier,Fultz all 27 or younger.

But George has total leverage here. Mike Conley said that George has the ability to control where he lands by letting it be know what teams he would sign an extension with.

And George has hinted c's would be a team he is interested.

Other teams won't make as strong an offer if he doesn't want to re-sign there.

When? Are you talking about re-tweeting that Bleacher article?

He seems just as Lakers-bound as Lonzo lol.

Could we trade for Hayward if he ops in? Or a sign and trade? With the changing of the rules every three months can't remember.

But if you could and Utah could get a little something like Meph 2018,Yabu,Young, and AB

We could then sign Griffen as an FA.

IT/Smart
Brown/Fultz
Hayward/Crowder or Nader
Griffen/FA
Horford/Zizic

No, I want us to build through the draft.

Fultz - Smart
Bradley - Brown
Hayward - Crowder
Ayton/Bamba - Yabu
Horford - Zizic

That's a team with an open contention window for the next decade or so.

#1 pick for 1 year of George?  It's just not worth it.  There's no way to guarantee that George stays beyond 1 year because of his contract situation.  And George has made a lot of indications about wanting to goto LA - including the fact that he will be working out this off-season with Kobe Bryant -- Mr. Laker himself.
