Torn labrum in his hip.  Injured it 2 months ago, aggravated it in game 6 against Washington, re-aggravated it last night.

Thanks for a great season IT!

right femoral-acetabular impingement with labral tear

Get well IT4.

Surprised the team allowed him to play so long through that. Wonder if he'll go ahead and get surgery now. Recovery time is usually about 3-6 months.

Wishing him a healthy and speedy recovery. He had an incredible season and held it together through tragedy. A great guy.

My wife is a workers' comp attorney.  With this specific injury, she would be surprised if Isiah is ready to play again before Christmas.  He is looking at 5 to 6 months of re-hab.  If that isn't bad enough, the chance of him tearing it again is extremely high.  Not sure if a "max" pay day is coming his way now.  No doctor with guarantee he won't tear it again and again.  Ouch!!

I'll remember this season for a long time, and IT is a primary reason.

Man.  This is what scares me about building with vets.  IT will get back though. Probably sooner than most humans but hopefully he heals right that's the most important thing. Anyone can get injured ultimately.

This is the problem with smaller players. They always get injured.
This is also why we should not pay IT max money.

Thanks for an incredible season IT!

Not even going to bother with the "fair weather, trade Isaiah, faked an injury" crowd on here.

29/6, MVP Candidate, 2x All-Star now. What an exceptional year he had  ;D

Now lets hope we can add talent this summer to surround him with (ideally Fultz+Hayward).

And yes, he proved himself in the postseason, especially in the Wizards series (Games 2, 7 ESPECIALLY).

Maybe he was mediocre in the Cavs series, but honestly, who was great (just Brown IMO, maybe Smart)? And he likely played with an injury too.

Heal and rest up, IT. Going to need you again next year.  ;D

Title is slightly misleading, the season and post season are different. Don't want to nitpick but just saying.

He's been clearly playing injured for a few games. He needs to rest up.

Nope it's really the same thing. He wont be back till fall.

And big guys don't get hurt?  Can we take a trip to planet Oden, Bowie, or Walton maybe?

I hope my wife the PT is totally wrong .  She read the blog headline from DA.

But she says to actually fix a Labrum tear ......requires surgery a bigger type that AB had on Shoulders.

She reports , the hip has to be dislocated or take the hip out of the ball scoket ,to repair the tisssue ......ouch ......its a BIG BIG deal and serious operation  , if the report is accurate.   She been in sports med 30 years , dealt will all kinds of athletes in many sports. .  He will have hip replacement at around age 50 she reports.

recovery time usually 12 months .....ugh

we need Fultz period now. And Smart  ;D

I'm going to hope she's wrong. I know that with shoulders, not all labrum tears require surgery. I've got to think that if this was a 12-month injury, the Celts wouldn't have had him play the last few games. Hopefully.
