The "flexibility" of our roster, which was a strength in the regular season, has proven to be a great weakness in the playoffs. Though I love the fight, there is no denying that we are putting forward a roster of incomplete, one-dimensional players that are better in short spurts but cannot realistically contend. 12-man rotations are ridiculous this time of year and seeing Brad mix and match in an attempt to find something is admirable, but also sad. Of all the playoff teams, we have the most changes in our starting lineup across all 16 playoff teams... which simply shows the reactive nature of our bunch.
I'm definitely not one that thought we were contenders this season and am extremely proud of the team's progress, but next season we SHOULD be legitimate contenders.
I see several threads pitching full 15-man squads, that's all well and good, but it's not playoff basketball and most of it is because we don't want to see emotional favourites move on.
So, with that said, let us legitimately plot a 10-man, title-contending rotation based on what we have. Two players per position - the starter and backup. The blank spaces represent my perceived gaps in the current roster. Feel free to disagree with my distinction of players as starters or even part of a rotation on a contender.
