Anybody else remember this quote?

Quote
"We played like a bunch of sissies," he said afterward. "I know the heart and soul of this team, and today the heart wasn't there, that's for sure. I can't believe a team like this would let L.A. come out and push us around like they did. Today I didn't feel we played hard. We got beat bad, and it's very embarrassing."

It is hardly the same situation, but I really hate watching Lebron beat us down. It sure would be nice to have a Bird-caliber (and attitude) player right now.

Bingo!

Glad to see somebody who recognises that attitude is the problem right now.

Cleveland is obviously better than us, but they're nowhere near THAT much better than us. What happened tonight was beyond embarrassing. We could play against a team comprised of the top 10 players in the league, plus Jordan, Bird and Magic all in their prime, and we still shouldn't get beaten this badly anywhere, let alone at home. This was pathetic.

Like others have said, where's the pride? I don't generally advocate cheap shots, but how were there zero hard fouls at the basket tonight? Unbelievable.

I still love where we're at as an organization going forward, but I definitely didn't see two blowouts of this magnitude coming.

If they want a shot to welcome premier free agents to Boston, then they have to fight for their lives in Game 3. Win that and they should meet that criteria.

Although it doesn't look great now that the next two games will be in Cleveland. Some of the Celtics may have played their final game tonight in the TD Garden in a Celtics uniform.  :'(

I don't believe this time. But...

Let's see, it would...require a major, sudden leap forward by Jaylen?

Maybe we will do what the Magic did in 2010.

Go down 0-3 despite having home court and then win games 4 and 5 to salvage our pride.

Pretty clear, there is a talent disparity between us the Cavs, I believed it prior to the series and I really believe it now.   We will be lucky to win one game.  I don't see us bouncing back like we did the other series.   The Cavs are winning easy and toying with us.

It'd be funny to see us be so lackluster and most of us predicting sweep, and then somehow the C's win Game 3

HIGHLY DOUBT that happens, but would be funny nonetheless.

so we will split in cleveland and win at home after that? we just got destroyed and embarrassed at home in two straight the first being way worse than score indicated.  that is simply wishful thinking and no rationality or objectivity or pserpsective put into it. it is what it is and nothing will change that.

we are a defeated bunch and the cavs know it. they are in our heads and have been since game 1. no amount of putting lipstick on a pig can gloss that over.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Not only is there a major talent discrepancy between the teams, but there's also a major experience discrapancy as well. We are 4-5 years younger and this is the first time on this stage for just about everyone except Horford. Blowouts were to be expected if the played poorly and didn't shoot well, which is what happened.

I think they are pretty embarassed by their performances and will take a game in Cleveland. They are a much better team than they showed.
