The only reason I keep seeing for Hayward staying in Utah is that he built a house.
Guys, I've never once heard of a NBA free agent who didn't go to a better team because of a house they built or lived in and liked. Never once, anyone ever heard of this?
We all know Utah cant outspend us, and they cant match us in talent. This is why I keep hearing the house thing as a reason.
Am I way off base when I laugh at this house thing? I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
When I put myself in Hayward's shoes I quickly came to the realization that I will be shocked if Hayward isn't a Celtic on the first day of free agency.
Utah's roster is atrocious. Celtics are so much further then them in both talent and youth.. it's not even a debate. Current Celtics + Hayward is so so so much better then Current Utah with Hayward.... like... any NBA player would be eager to pick the Celtics in this situation.
Anyone else really think this is even up in the air? I'm considering him a Celtic already.

How important is a house?
For them, probably not very important at all.
For us...
What I will never understand is why don't players rent? Your on the road for half the season, why spend millions on a huge house you barely use? If you have a family I get it, but a lot of young guys just coming into the league get these mini mansions and hardly spend time in them....

Everybody knows what's best for you
I love the confidence. I agree with you on the house thing...unless, you know, it's like a REALLY sweet house.
But, like Fultz, I prefer not to count my chickens before they hatch. I look forward to celebrating his signing (if he signs here).

After this series against the Cavs, the Celtics fans will gladly build Hayward a palace by hand if he comes here.

Guys lets not focus on the series... for our health lets just keep saying Hayward is already a Celtic.
