Trade idea

Lets say Broussard and Mcmullans sources are true

3 way trade on draft night

To 76ers - 7th pick (Monk), Dunn
To Wolves - IT4, Rozier, 2017 37th pick
To Celtics - 3rd pick

Celtics draft - Fultz, Tatum

Horford
Tatum
Brown
AB
Fultz

yay or nay?

I'd pick Jackson at three and it wouldn't even be a close call for me.

Yes, I would do that if I were Boston. But I'd take Jackson.

But I don't think Philly will do it. I don't think Colangelo rates PGs like Dunn highly.

I like jackson... But his 'unsure' shooting I doubt interests Danny, CBS

For them the big players need to have pg like skills and short players built , tough, long long wingspan...

Why not? He can shoot, can score

Ben simmons is going to have his share of handling the ball... So is embiid

From last years model they want guards that are not shy to score, shoot... Hence Dunn, Monk

I think the Wolves would gladly take IT4. As that teams
needs vet presence badly to help the team get to another level

Yup.  This trade makes the Celtics significantly worse in the present.

Dunn can't shoot. That is the problem.

Colangelo likes offensive inclined guards.

Yes but in the long term...

I bet such lineup with crowder , smart etc. still can make the 6th-7th seed

I mean everyone knows they want Monk... But reaching for him at 3 is a waste... If you can get Dunn or say Rubio as an added bonus...why not

If you are someone who doesn't think IT can be a part of what Ainge is trying to build, then this trade makes sense. It's not bad for every team involved, if Philly still places much value on Dunn.

Having said that, it will never happen. I don't think Ainge will trade IT. With his huge #s this year and fans loving him, he's like a little monster that grew out of Ainge's control.

Whether you think he's a piece of a championship puzzle or not, I think we're going to keep and re-sign IT and he'll be a Celtic for at least another 3 or 4 years.

Id think hard about that trade though .  real hard.

i beleive trading IT now while his value is up is THE right move .

Danny has the plums to do it ......he has the rare ability to smile and shake your hand and trade you the next day .

I d still start with Brown , Smart , Fultz , and Horford.and see if I could get some of Hayward , George and Cousins on the team .

I don't see how you can make that deal with Horford. Either he's very unhappy because the team is going from the ECF to an advanced rebuild, or they move him and possibly risk becoming unattractive to future FA.

Look at the Wolves, they have KAT, Wiggins, Lavine. Three great talents. But they stink.

I'd look to add Hayward and Fultz, then maybe trade something substantial for an impact big.

Still chasing that allure of potential.....

You could also construct

Horford
Tatum
Brown
Hayward
Fultz

Trade AB, Crowder
