Take advantage of sleepin' Phil Jackson and get a young big, who is  not yet in his prime and is also frustrated.

No.

Porzingis looks to have potentially be very good, but I dont think he'll be elite.

Porzingis is a very nice player. He's almost ideal for Brad's system. He's young, talented and well rounded.

But I wouldn't make that deal. I'm not sure how high Kris' ceiling is. I'm sure he'll score 20 points but I don't know how high he can get. Fultz's ceiling looks to be exceptional. Westbrook? Harden? Heck, is CJ McCollum the low for him?

If Danny does this deal I'll have faith. But I wouldn't make it.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Who, including potential, would you consider  "elite"?

Worth considering. Porzingis would be more effective in Brad's system than he was playing alongside two ball stoppers for a dysfunctional franchise. He'd also solve a lot of roster problems the Celtics have.

Zinger is great, but he's become a bit overrated

Crazy.

This Fultz cat must be good.  Zinger not elite?  Just a nice player?

He is a 7'3 unichorn with a Curry-like stroke.   Even blocks shots.

In a heartbeat would I make this trade.

I assume they would classify Fultz as such since he is the guy we would be giving up.

Imagine Zinger starting in front court with Al and scoring like Olynyk in Game 7, but also blocking shots and rebounding.  This on a consistent basis.

See, this is the problem with Porzingis. He's a very good prospect, but if you actually believe he has a "Curry-like stroke," you're not particularly familiar with his game. He's a good shooter for a big, but nothing special in the grand scheme. He doesn't create offense for himself, and while he "blocks shots," he's a terrible defender without a clear long-term position. I'll take Markelle 7 days a week.

Well let's see, instead of doing the smart thing and building around him, Jackson went the other way bringing in Rose to go with Carmelo - both of whom are known black holes when it comes to dominating the ball.

I agree, this guy solves a lot of needs, has the work ethic and has a huge upside. The only downside is he hits free agency in 2 years.

This is one - if available - that Danny probably looks at long and hard. Keep in mind you probably have to deal with Embid and the Sixers for the next several years.

I think there may be some guys available for this pick that were totally off the radar back in February.  What about some teams that have young stars on their rookie contracts that have little cap space to improve - especially when said stars sign next contract but are not ready to take the leap?

For example....would Portland consider dealing cj McCollum for the pick? Would we?  Is there a package we could use to get Myles turner? Pick for Jabari Parker? Just throwin out names but I think there will be some pretty surprising players available for this if we want it - and players will on their rookie comtract but nearing a big pay day who are ready to contribute to a title team may be more desirable for us while a top pick with longer control and smaller salary may be more desirable for another team.  Will be interesting.
