No way.

We obviously don't do the deal unless we're sure George would stay in Boston beyond 2018. If that's the case, I'd love to give Indiana the Nets 2018 pick instead of this year's pick. If they'll bite on that, I do that deal in a heartbeat. By adding George - and potentially Hayward or another legit free agent as well - while retaining Brown and whoever Danny picks first overall, I think we give the Cavs - and potentially the Warriors - a serious run for their money in 2018 while still building a potential dynasty in the long run.

George is in his prime and an outstanding player, but he is 8 years older than Fultz.  I'll take those 8 years.

#1 and Brown cost controlled for years + Hayward >>> Hayward and one year of PG13. Even if PG signed an extension with us, not really worth it as it guts the remainder of our team.

Crowder, Zeller, and Jerebko, and the number 1 pick for Paul George, the #16, and Indiana's draft pick in 2020.

Who says no?

Way too much for a guy with one year left on his contract. Look at the price that NOR paid for Cousins

That had nothing to do with Cousins’ contract, it has to do with his attitude and personality.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Actually, it had everything to do with his contract. SAC's management was worried that he would be eligible for the super max and didn't want to get into that situation

The number one pick has more value than George, to then just throw in our best current prospect in Brown would be an enormous overpay. It would be nice to get Hayward and George but Hayward is a free agent and we don't need to completely overpay in a trade for George so that we can sign Hayward.

I wouldn't include Brown but I would trade 1 for George after Hayward or Griffin was signed as a free agent because in that scenario I don't think George leaves in free agency
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

It would be ridiculous to trade for the Lake-loving George by thinking he won't leave in free agency.

You know what has more value than the #1? A legit chance to win a championship(s)
