I agree with his latest top 12 100%. He's got it perfect. Harry Giles at 12? Most people have him lower but with that upside it's a great spot to take a chance. Maker went #12 last draft.

 Without further Ado.

#1 Fultz
#2 Ball
#3 Jackson
#4 Tatum
#5 Fox
#6 Isaac
#7 Monk
#8 Dennis Smith JR
#9 Zach Collin's
#10 Markkanen
#11 Frank Ntikilina
#12 Harry Giles
#13 OG Anunoby
#14 Jared Allen

 Excellent job Chad Ford.

Edit: Collins at #9 is questionable. Any supporters of Collins at #9? Tp's for any Gonzaga fans that know his game well and can explain his upside.

Yeah, I think Giles is way too high. It's hard to measure upside at this point after a poor year and disappointing results at the combine.

Is there any reason that he's a superior prospect to Labissiere, for instance? Giles could fall just as far.

Skal is very talented put softer than Toilet paper. Giles who looked bad all year long, was the #1 prospect ahead of Ball and Fultz.

People just rave about the player that Giles was in highschool. He could easily be a guy teams regret passing on.

DX has Giles at #28 to the Lakers this seems more reasonable to me. In a strong draft class I would be shocked to see a lottery team take a risk on a player with Giles injury history.

 Excellent job Chad Ford.

I don't really understand having Collins ahead of Markkanen. Personally, I like Monk and Dennis Smith Jr. ahead of Isaac because I think they are both offensive creators and Isaac isn't.

Giles has to be that high based on his reputation in high school when he was the top pick. He essentially did nothing all year in college. Here is a quote from a Ford article on Giles.

Quote
" Teams are waiting with a lot of anticipation for Harry Giles' medical reports to come back. I talked to a number of NBA executives who said if he's totally cleared by their medical staff, he could move in the Nos. 5-10 range of the draft."

He's the best prospect in the entire draft if he can fully recover and stay healthy," one NBA executive said. "He's just a freaky talent."
Those are big ifs, but talk of him sliding out of the lottery doesn't seem realistic unless he gets red-flagged during the Saturday medicals.

I'm watching out for Donovan Mitchell and Hamadou Diallo to sneak into the lottery.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Dennis Smith is going to be a huge steal at #8.
What a deep draft.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The draft order is a strong endorsement for the fact that the league is becoming guard dominant.

Don't think Giles is a lottery pick.

Collins goes higher than Smith.

DraftExpress isn't looking at team needs yet.  Don't recall how soon after the lottery that they start to do so.

I agree completely with Evantime. I like Markkanen is much better than Collins and I think Issac is too high by about 2-3 positions. Also have to agree with other that Giles shouldn't be anywhere near the lottery. Late first sounds about right for him and if teams don't like his medicals, he could drop farther.
