I know Horford ended up making the shot, but should the Celtics have played for the last shot on that possession? The game was tied, and I believe the shot clock was turned off. The worst case scenario is overtime.

Yes, too much time.

Bench was brutal... Another reason why celts lost

Game 7 celts will win. No worries.
Yeah they were awful  Hopefully it's the Wiz bench's turn to suck again in Game 7

Unfortunately no, the clock was not turned off, the Wizards would have had time left on the clock either way.

Awful late game execution on both ends made that game winner possible.

not sure why he gave him so much cushion. Doesn't make sense.

Brad had GREAT plays down the stretch. And Bradley did the right thing, you don't press up on John Wall.

The hell you don't. In that situation press up all the way on him.

He's a 32% 3PT shooter and he was wayyyy behind the line. Press up and he'll drive on you and possibly kickout to Beal, a 40% 3PT shooter.

No chance is there an available kickout to Beal.  You don't help off of him.

If you need to help on a drive, you come off of Gortat (who can't shoot threes) or Morris (36% from three).  Beal and Porter you cover like glue.

The 5 point lead we had at the end, when it looked like we had a win... wasn't handled very well.
Starting at the trap of IT leading to the turn over...

Game 7 in Boston should be "the jungle"

Game 7 is going to be a blowout either way. I do not see a close game.

If olynyk coulda took his head out of his ass for two seconds to get a layup we mighta won

It was a terrible pass and they had a foul to give.

The defensive breakdown  against Beal is on him though.

That wasn't a defensive breakdown, that was a ... hot mess.

You have to run him off the 3 point line. Make him take the 2

we were scared he would drive and score easily

This. We played by the numbers, and John Wall, by the numbers, isn't really a reliable 3 point shooter, and logically its the correct thing to do.

No one could account the amount of intestinal fortitude of John Wall to take that shot. That's literally a "we win or lose, but it will be because of me" kind of a shot.

We got beat by a big time shot, by a player who was willing to risk it all. While I'm very disappointed in the outcome, I can't really be mad at that.

Well, I can be mad at the IT TO when no one helped him as he got trapped, leading to a Beal 3. But that's about it.

If bradley was even half a foot closer it wouldve been a better contest. He gave him too much space and time to lineup his shot. I love AB but that was his fault. I knew it before it even happened. Ive seen it from lebron, kobe etc. People will take the three in that situation.

We've been the better team the last 2 games, which is a nice shift from the previous couple.

We have game 7 at home where the NBA can't extend the series for TV $ any longer.

We are in good shape.

On a good note, AB killed it again two games in a row. He is still growing as a player and has not peaked yet..

Welp, at least if we win this series we won't be rusty against Cleveland!

nah, there was like a 5 second difference
