why do so many fans of other teams hate us?

I just got on some other blogs (eg. Chicago, Philly, Washington) and the hate there for the Celtics is a ****ton. As a Celtics fan I can't see why every non Celtics fan hate us like we killed their whole family. Is there any reason for this?

The rest of the league has always hated the Celtics since we began kicking their collective ass in Bill Russell's rookie season (1956-57). It's the same with the Yankees, Canadiens, Packers, Notre Dame football and Kentucky basketball. Yes, I realize there are a few others who could make the Most Hated list across different sports.

I can make a sensible comment on another blog.

Someone replies something like "F the C's" or something along those lines.

That comment gets like 50 recs from other posters of that blog...

I am sure the Bulls, Wizards, Hawks, Raptors, maybe Pacers and Bucks will be rooting for the Lebron-Cavs if the Celtics ever advance past round 2.

I hate the Lakers and I still hate the Knicks a ton too. 

I actually hate the Knicks so much in part because they are consistently mediocre to bad and are treated like they are some top level franchise.  Their fans certainly always talk that way.

If we’re just talking in the last few years then part of the hate was KG. Lot’s of people I know really hated that guy.
And if it was just hatred of success then people would hate the Lakers just as much. They’ve been far more relevant then the Celtics in the last 30 years.
